This takes place in the real world but with a fictional character. The main character is a serial killer but is also the protagonist and antagonist and the hero of his own story.
The serial killer chooses his victim at random. He somehow gets a list of residents that live in the city and the numbers are attached to that list. Here is how he chooses, he finds a random number generator on the internet. He types in whatever number is required from 1 to the number of whoever is last on the list. So if there was 582938 in the city he was in, he would type the numbers "1" and "582938" into a random number generator and he would then press generate and whatever number it generated was going to be his next victim.
He has no MO, calling card, or weapon of choice unless you consider killing at random a MO. Sometimes, he may use an object or weapon found at the scene to may it look like a crime of passion.
