If I Change *Luke Hemmings*

"But why can't we just go?!"  I asked Luke angrily

"Because you'll get drunk and do something you'll regret! Besides Ashton said you couldn't go to parties anymore!" he yelled back.

Luke and I had been arguing for the past 20 minutes about going to Michael's party. Luke kept going on about how i'd do stupid things and he's just trying to protect me but in reality it's really because he doesn't like Mike. I just know he doesn't want to go cause of some sort of rivalry him and Mike have.

"Really is it really because of that? Or is it just because you don't like Mike? And just to remind you, Mike  has been my friend since the third grade. I'll hang out with him either way!" 

Michael and i met in third grade. I sat by myself at lunch since i was pretty awkward and no one wanted to be friends with me. Then Michael just comes and sits with me and ever since we've been the best of friends. We then met Cassie in seventh grade and she instantly clicked with us. We all went through this... change together. Luke can't just keep me away from Mike! 

"We aren't going Brooke just let it go!"

"Just give me a reason! You sure as hell know that if we go you won't let me do anything stupid so don't even go there! Plus Ashton would let me go as long as you go!"

Luke ran a hand through his hair in frustration. I could tell he was getting tired of our arguement but it's not like he could keep me from having fun.

"Do you really want to go hang out with Michael!? For gods sake he's just another guy who doesn't care  about school, gets drunk, fucks every girl he wants and doesn't give a shit about anthing! He's just like, just like-"

"Just like me Luke?" i asked hurt "I know that's what everyone thinks about me, including you.."

And it was true. It's not like i never heard people talking shit about me because i did. I heard every single rumor spread about me. And it's fine. I know what and who i am. It does hurt to think that Luke might think about me that way but i can't blame him for thinking that, after all I do give him every reason to believe i'm that type of person.

"Brooke you know I didn't mean it like that. I wasn't going to say that.. I know you're better than that" By now his voice was calm and soothing.

"And so is he. You just have to get to know him better."

Luke sighed in defeat, "Fine. We can go"

I jumped into his arms and hugged him tightly. Once we pulled apart i had a huge grin plastered on my face. 

"Thank you." i smiled

"Anything for you"

I went to my room and quickly got ready while Luke sat on my bed doing who knows what on his phone. I staightened my hair and applied make up. Hopefully Luke doesn't mention anything about my makeup. I decided to wear a simple black dress and a pair of black heels. I sprayed on my Our Moment perfume on (yes i am secretly a One Direction fan but don't say a word about it) I put on the neclace my mom gave me for my 16th birthday and i was ready. Luke was wearing his usual attire, black skinny jeans and a band tee.

"I'm ready" 

"Wow you look beautiful." Luke said looking up from his phone. I blushed and said my thanks.

Luke and i walked to the living room where Ash was watching tv. We still hadn't asked Ashton if i could go to the party but we were hoping he'd say yes.

"Um Ashton.."

"Yea- why are you so dressed up?" he asked as he noticed my outfit

"Uh well i was hoping you'd let me go to Mike's party"

"Sure"

Ugh i knew he'd say no- wait did he just say "sure" ?? Oh my god. I was NOT expecting that. I know i had said Ash would let me go as long as Luke came along but really Ash can be unpredictable. But I am so glad Ahton said yes and I can go have some fun but also show Luke that Mike is really laid back.

"Thanks!"

We began walking towards the door when Ashton stopped us.

"WAIT!"

"UGH what is it?" i asked a little annoyed.

"Luke take care of my sister and bring her back before midnight"

"Sure thing!" Luke said 

They smiled at eachother and "man" hugged eachother goodbye. Umm ok? haha. Luke and Ashton had gotten pretty close in the past week. It was pretty cool actually. Having my brother and boyf- uhh friend, just friend, being so close to eachother. Luke and I haven't quite said anything about what we are but I think we are just friends. I mean we dont kiss or hold hands or anything so no, we aren't a couple.

It was now 9pm and we had just arrived at Mike's house. It had taken a while since we literally couldn't find anywhere to park Luke's car. The streets were filled with cars! We stepped to the front door and walked in. Once we were in the smell of alcohol filled my nose. The music was blasting and everyone was having a good time. Mike had really outdone himself. There were drunk teenagers dancing or makingout everywhere! Luke slipped his hand into mine as we tried getting to the kitchen. My hand tingled and i felt butterflies in my stomach, something only Luke was capable to give me. I looked down at our interwind fingers and smiled. I had held hands with Daniel before but with Luke it was different, it was like if our hands fit perfectly together like puzzle pieces or something. Ok woah i need to calm down! This is waaaay to corny for my liking! Ugh i need a drink!

"Broooklyyyyyyn!!!"  Mike yelled as we walked into the kitchen. 

"Miiiikeeeeey!!!" I yelled back and hugged him. "That is not my name!" i laughed and pulled away

"Who's this?" Mike asked eyeing Luke

"This is Luke, we work together" i turned to Luke and i could see a flash of hurt in his face but he quickly covered it up with a smile 

"Hey mate." Luke greeted Mike

Michael nodded his head and they soon began talking.

I walked to the fridge and took out a drink. I took a sip, the alcohol quickly rushing through my system. I loved that feeling. My throat feeling hot as i sipped down the liqour. Just then someone walked in. Daniel. Luke was having a deep conversation with Mike about rock bands and didn't seem to notice Daniel walk up to me. I didn't even have time to think when i felt a pair of lips crash into mine. Daniel had kissed me. I tried pushing him off but his grip on me was too strong.

"What The Fuck Brooke !!" i heard Luke yell in anger

Daniel pulled away and smirked at Luke. I was beyond angry! Luke looked completely hurt and angry. I had to explain things to him. I had to tell him that Daniel kissed me unexpectedly! Luke needs to know that I didn't kiss him! But before I could say anything Luke walked up to daniel and ounched him right on the face. Daniel fell on the floor and groaned. Luke gave me one last look and walked away.

"Luke! Wait" i yelled out to him but he kept walking without turning back. He walked into the crowd of intoxicated teenagers grinding on eachother and i lost him. I lost him in the crowd.
