"I brought the papers for you to sign."
So Ra fought the tears that were coming, swallowing hard that lump she felt in her throat. "Okay."
She watched Yoongi placed her sleeping daughter in her crib and walked to his briefcase, taking out a large brown envelope, with his firm's details on one side and her name on the other.
"I've filled and signed my parts." Yoongi took out the papers and showed them to her. He even marked the blank spaces she needed to fill in and put down her signature.
"Okay." So Ra had to keep her words minimum, or else she knew she would cry.
It took her almost half an hour to complete it, and when she did, Yoongi quickly put them back in the envelope and slid it into his bag, before taking another large brown envelope. "This too."
"What's this?" So Ra frowned. Her frown didn't last long when she saw the title at the top of the first page—
"Certificate of Marriage Registration"
"Yoongi..."
"You don't have to sign it now if you don't want to. Take your time — if you want to marry me, that is."
Now So Ra understood why she had to sign the divorce papers first.
The contract was now completed.
There was nothing else that tied them to the unfortunate agreement.
From now on, they were free to do as they liked.
"And when you have decided— if you decide to marry me, sign this as well." He took out another brown envelope. "Please."
So Ra took out the papers and gasped in a sob, pressing her palm on her mouth to keep herself quiet, not wanting her baby to wake up. "Yoongi..."
"I want to. Even if you don't want to marry me, which I hope you do, but even if you don't," his vouced cracked, "please let baby be mine too."
As said before, although Yoongi's face rarely showed emotion, his eyes exposed everything.
And right now, his glazed eyes showed determination and desperation.
"Are you sure about this?" She whispered out.
"Never been this sure my whole life."
So Ra eyed the papers again in her hands through her tears. She took her pen and signed her name on both - the marriage registration, as well as the adoption paper.
By now, both were crying their hearts out, out of relief and out of love.
"I love you."
So Ra was about to reply when she suddenly remembered. "What about your girlfriend?"
It wouldn't matter if he had answered truthfully in an instant.
Instead, So Ra watched Yoongi's eyes filled with something she never wanted to see.
His eyes were filled with guilt.
