It had been a week since Yoongi brought up the divorce, and in that week, neither of them mentioned it again.
So Ra treaded lightly for that whole week, not wanting to remind Yoongi of it.
He had been coming around the maternity hotel after work on a daily basis and So Ra didn't even want to ask him about his usual weekend getaway with his girlfriend. He was there with her and that was all that mattered.
But So Ra knew it was inevitable.
It was in the contract and they had signed on it.
The only way out was for her parents to breach it themselves and put it in black and white that they would not be asking for their money back.
If So Ra wanted to do it, they would have to come up with that ridiculous sum and although she was well off, the money was mostly her parents' and she knew Yoongi had too much pride to accept it.
"Hey."
So Ra looked up from feeding her girl to see Yoongi still in his work shirt, sleeves folded to the elbows as how she liked it. "Hey there."
"Baby seems sleepy." Yoongi sat down next to her rocking chair and touched her daughter's cheek.
It would've been awkward seeing how close his fingers were to her exposed breast but right now, it was nothing more than an adorable gesture, nothing less than a comfortable action of him gently caressing the infant's soft skin.
"Baby didn't want to sleep the whole afternoon. I'm trying to keep her awake so she'd sleep better tonight. Hopefully."
Yoongi chuckled. "How long are we going to just call her 'baby'?"
"I have about 20 days left before the times up to register her name. I'll take my own sweet time." Her daughter pulled her mouth away to indicate she was full and turned to look at Yoongi, whose large hands went around her tiny body to carry her in his arms.
She knew her daughter couldn't see well yet being only seven days old as the helpers had mentioned, but every single time Yoongi came around, the little girl would turn to his direction upon hearing his voice, knowing this man with large warm hands would pick her up and hold her close to his heart.
"Well, then. 'Baby' it is."
So Ra smiled at Yoongi shifting his body weight from foot to foot to sway her daughter as he held her close to his chest. Yoongi was hands-on with whatever the staff at the care center taught him.
She let herself imagine how her life would be with Yoongi as her real husband, living happily ever after.
But her imagination shattered when Yoongi looked at her to say, "I brought the papers for you to sign."
