Chapter 10- It's always darkest before the dawn

Kurts P.O.V

I watch as Noah slowly drifts off to sleep and smile at the sight. It pains me to see him like this, so broken but he seems to have some peace in his sleeping state. I look at this broken boy in front of me and i don't recognize him anymore which also pains me.

He doesn't deserve any of this. He has gaze patches on his collarbone and shoulder, i can see slightly that his back is bandaged, almost his entire chest is covered up, his arm is wrapped and both wrists are covered and his leg and knee are wrapped.

Finn walks in with a bunch of food (of course he has probably gotten 1 of everything at the cafe here). He instantly frowns when his gaze meets the boy on the bed. If i didn't know any better i would think he is dead. He normal natural tanned skin is almost as pale as Quinn who isn't as pale as me but from how tanned Noah usually is that's saying something.

"Has he woken up yet?" His voice is almost a whisper but since its Finn we are talking about its still easy to hear. "Yeah, his eyes showed so much hurt and pain its honestly hard to see but I'm glad he's gonna be okay physically. But Finn mentally i think he needs people even if he is pushing them away."

"Kur--" i cut Finn of almost immediately "no Finn i am transferring back to McKinley. Something is going on for him to get the money plus this just happened from I'm guessing his father and he trusted me when i was there and he cares about me so i am going to move back and be there for him because i can't let him drown out the world and suffer by himself. Yes i know he has you and Sam but i need to be there for him also."

Finn gives me a small side smile and turns his attention back to Noah who is stirring and starting to wake up again. He looks at Finn like he's surprised he even came. "Hey dude your awake" Finn and his always stating the obvious but right now i can't blame him, i mean Noah has always been like his non blood brother.

Noah tries to get up but flinches and slightly whisper screams in pain. I press on his good should to get him to lay back down and look at him. He looks up at me as he stops fighting and stays laying down. "Noah you have to stay down for a few days. At least until everything starts to heal a little.

He rolls his eyes and tries to get up again and i see blood start to appear on the gaze on his back and by the look of horror on Finn I'm guessing he's bleeding in the front too. I look to Finn and nod hoping he knows to get a doctor or nurse. I struggle but finally get Noah to lay back down and his face shows pure pain and nervousness.

A few minutes later Finn and a nurse rush in with her carrying a bunch of gaze, bandages and medical tape. I watch and see the damage to his chest and i feel tears start to prick my eyes. She pulls the blanket down to expose his hip and a bloodied outline of an anchor shows. Its more on his side but low enough so its considered his hip.

She rolls Noah lightly and carefully to expose his back next and i lean onto Finn because of the sight. He has a severely burned message that will most likely be permanent. I feel Finn tense beside me knowing he read the word as well. The word is all capitalized and the word spelt across

USELESS

I didn't notice till now that she gave Noah a shot to make him sleep through this. I'm surprised because Noah hates shots, i definitely know now that something is clearly not okay. I text Cedes to ask her, the girls and Sam to retrieve my stuff from Dalton but not informing her on why. She gratefully does and soon get a text about an hour later.
