                                                Chapter -27

                                             (The magic pen)

“What are you writing? “ I asked kaushik Iyer, whom I found writing on the desk before Mathematics exam .

“Bro this is MAGIC PEN , you see this “ he said and started writing on a white paper. Nothing was visible, then he took out the small torchlight behind pen and he checked the light on white paper, surprisingly ,the text was now clearly visible. In and about a few minutes whole class was around it with same expression of early man when he first found out the fire.

I grabbed it from him and said I will give it to him in some time , I went to my girl immediately and took her hand into mine while she was checking out TAN ,SIN and COS formulae , she was not much bothered of what I was doing, I took out the pen and started writing on her hand . I asked her to read , while she is still murmuring TAN theta is equal to Opposite side by Adjacent side ,she stopped it suddenly ,

“What did you write AJ? “my girl asked.

“Hehehe ..!! Magic “I said.

“Please tell, please…” my girl asked .

Already I can’t hide telling anything from my girl and now my girl’s cute face pleading me made me even more flattered. I showed light on her hand and she was excited to read both of our names. She liked it a lot and she wrote back on my hand with it. By the time we are making fun, our mathematics teacher Mrs. Vasanthalatha came inside with question papers in hand .

Mrs.Vasanthalatha is one of the best mathematics teachers in our school. She had a vision towards our future, whatever she teaches she want it to be of more practical approach. She is truly one among the best teachers with innovative thoughts. Mrs.Vasanthalatha missed her gold medal during her M.Sc and I always thought that one day I will fulfil her dream by getting one.

“ 25 bits and 30 minutes time ,no extra time will be given so do it as quickly as you can do ,” Mrs.Vasanthalatha said.

Most of the teachers have subjective exams but Mrs.Vasanthalatha always want us to do things in a simpler way so that we can face more competitive exams in future.

“Arrange yourself Roll no. wise “ she said and we did it quickly and luckily my girl got to sit beside me . I was blushing like hell in myself as this is the first time I was sitting beside my girl during exam. Papers are distributed to everyone, and not even in 15 minutes my girl completed and gave paper back.

“ I was looking at her with an open mouth as I just finished 10 questions , by 25 minutes I could try and do 20 questions and last 5 questions were really very tough. I thought my girl will help me out in finding answer , I looked at her like a lost puppy asking for help. My girl took out a pencil from desk and started writing on my paper , I felt like heaven at that moment. To my utter surprise she was underlining my previous answers and smiled at me, I fell directly from heaven to earth.

My girl is very strict in her morale she never cheats in exam or never do anything which is against school code, only one thing she did against it was loving me.

Magic pen took full flow that evening and next day morning while I and Din were walking inside the class and I said I will write Din’s name and his crush name on Time table hanging next to school board. He challenged me to do that and I did it without waiting for a second thinking who will check that.

“So did you copy in exam with this pen? “ Mrs.Vasanthalatha asked Kaushik Iyer during the after session who introduced magic pen to class.

“No ma’am “ he said

Mrs.Vasanthalatha went to his place and checked his bench and caught him red handed. Now that he caught he said that everyone are using it and showed time table. For a moment my heart was in my hand and felt that this will be talk of town tomorrow.

“who did this ?” Mrs.Vasanthalatha asked me

For a moment I thought , I will not say . But later felt its better to face truth rather than running away from it. I went to Ma’am and confessed the truth. I know Mrs.Vasanthalatha and Mrs.Alice who is our class teacher are good friends , I apologised ma’am for doing that.

“ I think you need to see Mrs. Alice “ Mrs.Vasanthalatha said and bell rang at the right time.

I made myself comfortable to face Mrs.Alice and as it is not even few days that she warned me and my girl this could be the most awkward moment to face her again.

I walked out of class and found Mrs.Alice standing near Principal’s chamber . I went to her and my two Idiotic friends followed me with 4 feet distance away from me.

I said her everything without hiding.

“So you People are using Time Table for all this ? Its really bad “ cutting of her Mrs.Bala who was our social studies teacher of previous year shouted , “Heard that you 3 Monkeys are wagging your tail , isn’t it ?

This was the most embarrassing situation and suddenly Mrs.Alice who was standing on corridor a step higher than me , Hugged me sideways and said  “They are my Children , they will never do anything wrong .”

This is the best support any teacher ever gives to their students, Mrs.Bala smiled at us and we exchanged the same and

Mrs.Alice said “Never repeat this” and we left without waiting for a second.

At that day I was clear, truth is the ultimate stand in life. Even if you commit anything wrong and if you can confess the truth then that sin will be overtaken by your truth. Truth is the highest thing that man may keep.
