CHAPTER II
I remember what you wore on the first day you came into my life and I thought, hey this could be something
[NOVEMBER 2013]
Sandra Drummond
It was last Monday night when Sandra made plans to hang out with the couple, Rachelle and Sheridan. They were supposed to hang out yesterday, but then they all forgot about it, well, the truth was, Sandra didn't, she just overslept. So, last night Rachelle called up and told Sandra that they would be hanging out today, a Wednesday morning.
Sandra rang the doorbell and knocked on the stainless gate twice. "Rachelle!" She called out and knocked again, this time harder. Then the door opened just before she lost all patience.
"Oh, hi Sandy." Mrs. Tsoi, Anna, said and welcomed Sandra with a smile. "Come on in, Rachelle's been waiting for you." She added and opened a stainless door this time.
Sandra went inside, while Anna went to the kitchen place next door. She was sitting down the black leather one person sofa seat, facing the television attached to the wall, when Rachelle came out of the door on the left behind the tall standing cabinet that held a picture frame of the Tsoi family, some books, and pieces of hair clips and elastic bands.
"God, you took so long," Sandra said emphasizing the word long. Rachelle wore a black see-through with black tube bra inside, jeans and slippers. "And you're not even wearing fashionable pieces! I thought that you were up to seriously dressing up for your boyfriend today." She added, disappointed and somewhat irritated. She couldn't believe it took Rachelle that long to show up to her wearing something like that. "Anyway, are we ready to go now?" She asked, taking out her phone from her beach-styled shoulder bag.
"Yeah, lets go," Rachelle answered and went to open the door, "Oh, and excuse me for not wearing extremely short shorts with longer pockets and a fitted t-shirt, if that's what you were expecting me to wear for my boyfriend today." Rachelle said in a sarcastic tone, emphasizing the word boyfriend and looking at Sandra from head to toe, while she held the door open. "After you," She added. Sandra just laughed and went out first. Rachelle was like that the first time they met each other, the first time they had known of each other. Rachelle was even the first person during their junior year who called her ugly and stupid. And Sandra was so grateful to that, that it was when she decided that Rachelle was truly her real friend. Rachelle was by nature frank, it was natural for her to say mean things and during back then, play awful but funny pranks on their other friend, Julie. Rachelle was more likeable than Sandra though, during their junior year everybody thought that Rachelle was being influenced by Sandra. The rumors that had spread said that Sandra was a bad influence to the unfortunate Rachelle and that Rachelle was being too kind, remaining friends with someone like Sandra. But, people knew nothing about them. They knew nothing about Sandra or about Rachelle. They didn't knew how perfect they were for each other like; milk and oreos, peanut butter and jelly, and bacon and eggs. Rachelle excelled particularly in mathematics, chemistry and physics, while Sandra excelled particularly in language, biology, logic and philosophy. Rachelle didn't have had much interest in sports, while Sandra loved basketball, fencing and muay thai. Rachelle played the violin and sang, while Sandra only danced. They weren't alike. They were so different, but so good together. That's what made them a good combination, a great duo, their differences complemented each other and their very few similarities like their love for Japan and all things Japan (i.e., manga, anime, cosplay, j-rock, and drawing) bounded them together like two peas in a pod.

"So, where's Sheridan? We've been here for like thirty minutes already, isn't he coming yet?" Sandra, sitting on a spinning chair at 7Eleven, annoyed at the late Sheridan with a growling stomach, complained to Rachelle who was checking out the store's products. Sandra woke up early and left home early without having breakfast this morning and its almost ten am, so she kept pestering Rachelle about the time and if Sheridan was still coming - much less awoken already. And Rachelle just ignored her whining and went around the store. It was just right before the clock hand stroke at ten thirty when Sheridan finally arrived. He wore muddy green long sleeves, jeans and slippers. The couple quickly made out and went all lovey-dovey right away that made Sandra want to puke rainbows and unicorns just for them.
