Day 1: Through A Flower's Nonexistent Eyes

Pellet Posy's POV

Another Day As A Flower. Life Is Pretty Boring As A Flower. I Honestly Wonder How It Feels To Move Around, Like Those Colorful Creatures I See Wandering Around. Sometimes, I See Another Flower Getting Carried By The Creatures. I Think They Might Skin The Flowers Down. The Thought Chills Me Down To My Stem. Speak Of The Creature, There They Are, Wandering Around. Suddenly, They Start Walking Towards ME! What Do I Do?! They're Going To Skin Me Alive! They're Already Slapping My Beautiful Petals Away!  And Then, I Fell Down Onto The Hard Dirt Floor. Then, I Felt... Movement? I Open My Nonexistent Eyes, And See Them Taking Me Somewhere! I Look, And See A Red... Fruit? The Creatures Placed Me Down, And I Flew Into The Fruit. Where Am I? Everything Is So... Dark. Were The Creatures Were Harvesting My Kind? That's Messed Up! Suddenly, I Get Pushed Toward A Light! Mother Nature? Is That You? I Guess This Is It. My Life On This Planet Is Over. I'm Coming Mother Nature!

Red Pikmin's POV

...Am I In Heaven? I Feel.... More Alive? The Light Led Me To... OUTSIDE! But, I Still Can't Move. Darnit. I Suddenly Get Forced Into The Ground. Then I Felt, Arms And Legs? Did I Just Grow LIMBS?! Well, I Guess My Wish Came True. I Wished My Boring Flower Life Was More Exciting, And Now I'm Stuck In The Ground. Great. Ow! Something Just Tugged At My Stem, Which Is On My... Head? My Stem Should Be At The BOTTOM Of Me! They Tug Again, And Again, And Again, When My Head Pops Out. I Look Around With My Nonexi- Wait. I Have REAL Eyes Now?! This Day Keeps Getting Weirder And Weirder. I Look Around, And See Red Feet. With One Final Tug, I Fly Out, And Hit My Head On A Wall. I Open My Eyes, And It's The Creatures! "DON'T SKIN ME, PLEASE!" I Yell, When They Start Staring At Me, Chuckling A Little. I Am Confused. "What? What's So Funny?" I Exclaim. They Say, "Why Would We Skin You? You're One Of Us!" This Is Getting Weird, But Then I See A Little Puddle. I Run Towards It, And I See It. My Face, Was A Creature's Face. What Did I Do? I Did The Only Reasonable Thing I Could Do. I Screamed At The Top Of My Lungs. The Creatures Covered Their Nonexistent Ears, The Sound Obviously Hurting Them. I Was Still Screaming, When One Of The Creatures Placed A Hand Over My Mouth. I Looked At The Creature, And Realized That It Had A Flower On Its Head. Was That Normal? The Flowered Creature Must've Realized How Confused I Was, Because It Started Explaining. "I Can See How Confused You Are, So I'll Explain. We Are... Well, Our Species Doesn't Really Have A Name, So We All Have Different Names. I'm Ren. I'm The Leader Of Our Group. I'm Guessing You Were The Pellet Posy The Others Had Brought, So I'll Tell You What Happened To You. The Mother," He Pointed At The Thing I Came Out Of, "Cannot Move, Until Night. Because Of That, We Need To Gather Food For Her. In Return, She Turns The Part She Doesn't Eat Into Our Kind. She Also Is Our Home, And Protects Us From The Night Predators." I Understood, And Then I Saw Two More Things That Look Like The Mother, Just A Different Color. "What About Those?" I Ask As I Point To The Mother-Like Things. "Oh.. Those Are Mothers To A Different Creature Than Us, Mostly The Same, Except They Both Don't Have A Nose, And Have A Different Color. We... We Stay Away From Them. They Scare Us, The Yellow Ones Can Pick Up Bomb Rocks, And The Blue Ones Can Survive In Water, A Danger To Us." He Explains. I'm Not Sure If I Should Also Fear Them, Or Try To Befriend Them. "Now, We Should Pick A Name For You. What Are Some Things About You?" Ren Asks. "Oh.. I Guess I'm Kinda Fast." I Tell Him. "Hm... How About The Name Randy?" He Exclaims. I Like That! It Seems Like A Good Name! "Yeah, That'll Be My Name!" I Shout To Ren. "Ok Then, From Now On, You Will Be Known As Randy, Welcome To Our Group!" Ren Exclaims. This Will Be WAY More Exciting Than Pellet Posy Life! I Thank The Mother, Then Realize That I Should Give Back To Her. "Hey Ren, Can We Go Search For Food For Mother?" I Ask. He Smiles, And Gets A Searching Team Ready. I Excitedly Went With The Group, All Of Them Greeting Me, Telling Me Their Names. There Was Rod, Who Had Been Struck By Lightning Once, And Has His Leaf Burning Eternally, There's Reed, Who Has A Cut In His Side, Gained From Underwater Seaweed, There's Pik, Who Tried To Eat A Fruit, But Spat It Out Right Away, And Now Has A Big Mouth, There's Min, Who Is Really Tiny, But Fierce, And Finally, There Was Rory, Who Had A Ripped Leaf. We All Went Searching For A While, And Found A BIG Pellet Posy, With The Number 5 On It. I Knew How It Felt, So I Soothed It, Saying Its Life Was Going To Get Better. We Went, Wacking Away With Our Stems, And It Fell Down. We Grabbed It, And Placed It Under Mother. It Flew Up, And 5 Seeds Came Out. We All Pulled The Seeds Out. They All Were Confused, And Ren, With The Help Of Pik, Min, Rod, And Reed, Explained Everything. They Understood, And Then I Saw The Sky Getting Dark. I Knew What Was Going To Happen, Except That This Would Be More Dangerous As I Was The Same Species As Pik, And Min, Making Me Vulnerable To The Night Creatures. Wait A Second... Pik...Min? That Sounds Kinda Catchy! Pik-Min. Pik-min. PikMin. Pikmin. That's It. Our Species Name! It Should Be Pikmin! But Right Now Wasn't The Time. I Exclaimed To Ren, "Nightfall! We Should Leave! Now!" He Seemed To Already Know What To Do, And Told Everyone To Crawl Inside Mother. Gross, But He's Our Leader, And I Should Listen. I Enter Mother, And- WOAH! This Is Really Big Compared To The Outside! I Was Standing In A Main Room, That Led To 22 Different Rooms! 20 Of The Rooms Were Just Bedrooms, While The Other Two Were A Feeding Area, And The Ship's Controls. It Was Surprising, That There Were 20 Of Us "Pikmin", But Hey! The More The Merrier! Then I Realized No Body Knew About My Idea. I Should Tell Our Leader Right Away! I Tried To Find Him In The Big Crowd, And I Found Him, Asking If I Can Talk To Him For A Moment. He Agrees, And We Head To The Room That Had My Name On It. "So, What Did You Want To Talk About?" Ren Starts. Then, I Suggest The Name. He Pauses For A Few Minutes, Probably To Think, When He Looks At Me. "That Sounds Kind Of Awesome! Pikmin, Pikmin, Pikmin! That's Our Species Name! But What About The "Other" Pikmin? What Do We Call Them, Yellow And Blue Pikmin?" He Jokingly Says. I Take It A Little Too Seriously. "That's A Great Idea! We'll Be Red Pikmin, And They'll Be Yellow And Blue Pikmin!" I Exclaim. He Stares At Me, For Taking The Joke Too Seriously, But Then Agrees, Slightly Reluctantly. He Leaves, And I Lay Down On My Bed. I Close My Eyes, Then A Speaker Came On, And Ren Called Us For A Meeting. Seriously? I Am Really Tired From Today's Events, And I Just Want Some Sleep. I Sluggishly Walk Out, And Go To The Meeting Table. Ren Starts. "Fellow Group Members, One Of Our Newest Members Have Come Up For A Name For Our Species!" Everyone Just Stare At Each Other. Who Came Up With It? I Know I Did, But I Stayed Quiet, Being Respectful. "Randy Suggested, That Our Name Shall Be The Red Pikmin! The Other Species That Look Like Us, Will Be Called The Yellow And Blue Pikmin." Everyone Stared At Me, Then To Pik And Min, Then Back To Me, And Back To Pik And Min. It Was Obvious I Got Inspiration From Them. I Thought Pik And Min Would Be Kinda Mad That I Used Their Names, But Then They Just Blushed. They Were Embarrassed From All The Attention! They Gave Me A Quick Smile, Before Turning Their Heads Away. That Went Better Than Expected. I Thought I Might Have Started A Rivalry, But I Instead Made Them Kinda Popular. My First Day As A Pikmin Was Great. I Wonder How Life Is For The Other Two Pikmin Groups Were Going? I Think I'll Investigate Tomorrow! But For Now, I Should Get Going To The Feeding Area. I'm Actually Pretty Hungry, Because I Never Did Finish My Photosynthesis While I Was Still A Flower. I Head In, And See A Table, And I Sit Down. Everyone Soon Scrambled Inside, Probably Hungry From Today. Then, Piles Of Goo Splat In Front Of Everyone, And They Started Sucking It Up. I'm A Little Hesitant, Especially After This Weird Day, But I'm Hungry, So I Might As Well Try It. I Put My Tiny Mouth On It, And Start Sucking. Wow! That's Really Sweet! I Inspect It A Little, And I Realize It's Nectar! Way Better Than Making My Own Glucose! I Slurp It Up, And Feeling Full, I Leave To Go To My Room. Today Was Very Eventful. I Hope I Can Remember Everything, But I Don't Have Any Notebooks, Or Anythi- Then I Saw On My Desk, A Nice Little Notebook! Awesome! Time To Write A Log!

Randy's Log Day 1

Today Was Amazing! I Was A Pellet Posy, But Was Turned Into A Pikmin! Life As A Pikmin Is Great! Sure, I Can't Stay At Night And Look At The Stars, But That's A Sacrifice I'm Willing To Make! I Even Have Actual Eyes, And Limbs! I Even Came Up With The Name Pikmin, Inspired By Pik, And Min, Two Pikmin In My Group! I Learned The Names Of 6 Pikmin, And Learned How To Identify Them. Ren Has A Flower, Rod Has A Leaf That's On Fire, Reed Has A Cut In His Side, Pik Has A Big Mouth, Min Is Tiny, And Rory Has A Cut Leaf. I'm Thankful To Mother For Turning Me Into A Pikmin! There's Way More Things I Want To Write Down, But I'm Getting Sleepy. I'm Going To Get Some Sleep Now.
