"A fool thinks himself to be wise, but a wise man knows himself to be a fool." William Shakespeare.

-Aubrey's POV-

I followed Tony, Thor and Loki into the living room where everyone was sitting. Loki had his hands in his pants pockets, looking at the scenery and taking everything in.

Natasha finally glanced up from the TV and her eyes grew as big as saucers. She immediately took out her gun and cocked it. This made Clint, Bruce and Steve all look up.

"What the hell is he doing here?!" Bruce stated I noticed that his veins went from blue to green he clenched his fists and Natasha put her hand, that wasn't holding a gun, on his shoulder. My stomach lurched and I looked down.

Loki raised and eyebrow and glanced over  at me.

Thor looked at Natasha and Clint, who had an arrow notched and was taking aim at Loki's face. Steve held a stern expression his large arms across his chest, honestly he looked like a dad that just caught his kid sneaking in the house late from a night of partying.

"Please friends, weapons down, this is apart of Loki's punishment, Odin has stated that he shall stay with us. Which is why I'm staying here with you all to watch over him." Natasha put down her gun, lips in a thin sneer.

"I'm listening." Clint said flatly, arrow still notched. Loki showed no sign of being worried. He just had a faint smile on his face as if the whole ordeal was amusing to him.

"He is basically a mortal. He has no powers. Odin stripped them from him." Thor added. Clint lowered his bow slowly.

"And he has to do what we tell him to do or else his sentence gets added on to." Tony added matter-of -factly.

Steve looked at Thor, "How long is his sentence?" He questioned.

"A year." Thor sighed.

Bruce got up and stormed out of the room Natasha quickly left to go find him. I grit my teeth and yet again Loki sent a glance my way.

Why does he keep looking at me? Does he sense my discomfort?

Loki sighed and put his hands behind his back, "Yes, now that that's out of the way I would like to depart for the night. It's been a long day for me and I'd like to sleep. So Tony if you would p-lease," He gagged as if it hurt to say the word 'please' "show me to my room." Tony raised an eyebrow at Thor who nodded and took a step back.

Tony gestured down one of the halls, "Right this way, Reindeer games."

Steve took Thor by the arm and lead him into the kitchen to talk. I continued to follow Tony and Loki through the winding halls.

Tony stopped at a door and opened it, "Brie, this is where you'll be staying."

I smiled and entered the room, it was painted a light blue, with book shelves lining one of the walls. I had my own flat screen TV and DVD player, I also knew the password to Tony's Netflix and I also knew that he wouldn't care.

One door lead into my own bathroom, with a shower/bath combo, toilet, sink and more than enough cabinent space, another door held a walk in closet.

My luggage that I had brought with me sat atop a king sized bed with a galaxy print comforter and three fuzzy black pillows and two white nightstands on either side of it. A black lamp sat on one nightstand while the other held an alarm clock and a old picture of Tony and I when we were younger; he had a wrench in his hand, his hair was a mess and we were both covered in dirt, both of us wearing toothless smiles.

A black desk and a white computer chair with two computer monitors sat against another wall and the very back wall was all glass were my view of New York City was limitless.
