Aubrey's POV:
I guess 'going to breakfast with the Avengers' really means, 'staying out all day and going shopping with them' then 'going to a bar and getting shit-faced' as if we needed to go to the bar when Tony's bar was always stocked.
Nevertheless, everyone started pounding down shots and whatnot while I, myself being a lightweight, sat with a soda in the back hoping none of the drunken guys sitting in this bar took notice of me and decided to hit on me. Frankly, I didn't need that now.
I didn't know if I could truly be with someone like Loki...I didn't know what my heart or my head were trying to tell me and, all of the conflictions and mood swings were making me even more confused than what I already was.
"Lady Aubrey?" I looked up, spooked by the booming voice of Thor who was decked out in jeans, a black muscle shirt, running shoes and sunglasses, his hair was pulled up and he wore a small concerned smile on his face.
"Hey, Thor." I muttered staring into my drink. There was no doubt in my mind that he could tell something was wrong.
He slid into the booth across from me, he was the only coherent one other than myself and Bruce who had refused to come with us and instead went back to the Tower to work on his newest project. Of course, Thor was coherent because he was a God and could handle his liquor.
"I need to speak with you." My stomach sank and my heart stopped, I knew what this was about.
"What about?" I asked taking a sip of my soda trying and failing to act casual while I watched Tony do five shots and Nat try to get Clint, who was dancing on a table, down. Thank god his kids would never see this.
I made eye contact with Thor again and I knew he could see right through me, I slumped in my seat.
"Loki and you got into an argument didn't you?" He asked, pitty twinging on his voice, maybe not for me but for his brother who couldn't seem to get his act straight enough to see what was good for him I sighed.
'Yes, we had a fight."
"I'm guessing over something that happened with Stark this morning?"
"Let me guess, Tony was fuming when he walked into the living room after coming to get me."
"Only a lot."
I ran a hand through my hair.
"Want to tell me what it was about?" He asked taking a sip of his beer.
"He caught Loki in my room."
Thor's reaction was nothing less than hilarious, his eyes went wide, he choked on his beer, hit his chest a few times and then looked at me, "What!?"
"Not in that way, I had an anxiety attack and Loki came in to check on me, we fell asleep together...he said he loved me." I looked down, remembering that tiny detail so so very clearly.
Thor seemed to calm down a bit, I knew he thought of me as a best friend and would protect me no matter what, even if I was just a mortal and nothing else but, it still gave me hope knowing that he cared.
"He just...he doesn't seem to understand that he can't be an ass to the person he claims to be in love with he can't say that he's in love with someone and then turn around and not want their apology or their company. It makes me so frustrated. "
"Loki is blind with bitterness, it's unfortunate that I am one of those causes...maybe you are the thing he needs, just don't give up on him....like you didn't give up on any of us." Thor gestured to the rest of the group, Clint was still on the table, Nat was now filming it, Tony was drooling and gawking over some guys Apple watch and Steve was passed out at a table, clearly, he was like me and didn't drink often.
