Finally....The weekend!
I woke up at 8, in a happy mood. I could finally see Karla and Lauren. It had only been one week but it had felt so much longer. I hadn't thought about it but I missed them.
I ran to the restroom and bathed. It didn't take me long. I got out and straightened my hair. Or semi straightened it, it didn't seem to want to cooperate. I changed into some denim shorts and an Areopostle tee.
I grabbed my bag of from my bedroom and made my way down stairs. The girls were sitting around the counter, eating. "Where are you going?" Gemma stood up.
"I'm going home, for today at least. I miss my old friends." She nodded, sitting back down. Tiffany had rolled her eyes. Sometimes I felt like she absolutely hated me... "Well I'm leaving." Macy stood up, awkwardly. "Um, could you take me to the book store? I need to buy a book." I nodded.
We both put our shoes on and left towards the door.

The whole ride was quiet. Macy hadn't said a word. "Hey, um can I ask you something?" Macy messed with the ends of her hair. "Sure, Macy. What is it?" She faced me. Something told me she was hesitant. "Um, are you and Louis something?" I nodded. She frowned. "Oh..."
"Why do you ask?" She kept quiet. "Well, um, Tiffany and him used to be a thing. And she's been saying things, bad things." I faked a laugh. Of course, Louis has had everyone in this campus. "So she hates me?"
Macy looked at me. "Yeah, she's been wanting to kick you out." I faked a laugh again. "Oh, god. I dunno what to say..." She frowned, looking sorry. Thoughts ran through my mind.
I really had to do something. I had know she had a disliking against me, but I never thought it was going to get this far. Yet, I honestly hadn't liked her either. She had seemed, to my opinion, fake the day I had first met her. Now, if she was really gonna kick me out, I needed to find a place.
We arrived to the book store minutes later. "Um, thanks Macy." She nodded. I just stayed in the car. I started to think I was going to be kicked out today. I wouldn't be surprised if all my things were out of the house when I get back. I shook my thoughts out and drove to Karla's.

"Diana!" I ran into Karla's arms. "How's college?" I grabbed my bag. "I'll tell you inside." She rose an eyebrow and followed me inside. A wonderful smell came into my nose. I set my things down and walked into the kitchen. Lauren was cooking some type of pasta.
"Hey!" I waved at her, as her arms were busy. Karla sat beside me. "So you said you would tell me the wonders of college." I grabbed a banana and ate it. "Well, it's been okay. Full of surprises." She smiled. Seconds later, Lauren served us pasta. We started to eat. "What kind of surprises?"
"Well, the guy from the club, Louis, turns out to be with me. I have him in most my classes. He's special. He is...." Lauren stared at me. "I think you like him..." My cheeks turned red. They started to laugh. I set my fork down. "Will you let me finish?" They nodded, listening closely. "Him and I are friends, friends with benefits."
Karla choked on her water. Lauren stared at me in shock. "What?!?!" They stared. "What happened to "Ms. Diana, the goody-goody"?" I shrugged. "Good girls are bad girls who haven't been caught." She giggled.
"What about you, Ms. Lauren?" A huge smile took upon her face. "Well, it's been really nice. I seem to get along with everyone. The teachers are nice too. And I've met someone." I rose an eyebrow. "His name is Liam." Karla poked her side. "Any problems? Any of you two?"
I sighed. "I don't know about Lauren, but I have. There's this person that can't stand me. She wants to kick me out of the frat house. Tiffany to be exact."
"And why is that?" Lauren stood up and served us more water. "Her and louis used to be something, and she can't stand it." Karla smirked. "Well then there's your solution. Move in with Louis." I shook my head.
"I can't. We're friends with benefits, not boyfriend and girlfriend." Karla spoke up. "Well, there's a benefit. Tell him something like....you won't have sex with him unless he lets you live with him. Or the truth." I walked to the sink and set my plate in. "Nope. He lives in a frat house. There's boys all around. And whats wrong with me living here? "
"Oh, Diana. You're so dumb." I looked at her in amazement. "What in the world do you mean by that????" She smirked, looking at Lauren. "Weren't you in theatre in 8th grade? Don't you know how to cause an act?" I started to think. As I thought, we all walked to the living room.
"How would I do that?" She rolled her eyes. "Goodness gracious! You act innocent. Cry and say they kicked you out. Beg, I dunno. But do something." I nodded. "Oh, um, your mum called. She wanted to talk to you." I sighed. That sure changed my mood.
My mother. Sure. You see my mother and I didn't have the normal relationship. She caused me pain. And it didn't end there, she decided our family wasn't enough. She had gone to a complete stranger and 'fell in love' with him. She had left us. She divorced my dad and remarried with Tom, the stranger. She moved on and had three kids with Tom. Not once did she call, or visit. It seemed as if she had disappeared from our lives. And now we wanted to talk to me.
"You should at least try to talk to her. I know the past you two had, but there's always a second chance." I laughed. Lauren, Karla, and I had talked about this many times. But I always refused to call or see Veronica. And to be very honest with you, I didn't think she deserved to be called "mother" by me.
"I do believe there's second chances. But not everyone deserves them. And besides that, I've told you that I will never do that. She isn't my mother. She's a slut." They shook their heads. "Don't call her that. She gave birth to you!" Karla sat back down and sipped on her tea nervously. Lauren shook her leg up and down. Something was going on.
"I don't care if she did! A mother never leaves her children! A mother raises you. She's there the first time you fall of your bike with the first aid kit. She's there the day you graduate from high school. She's supportive to you. She gives you advice. She's nice, loving, and caring to you. Veronica has never been that way to me. She left the house when I was 13. And since that day, I have never wanted to see her. And that will never change." They seemed nervous.
"What is up with you two? What happened?!?" Karla sat quietly. Lauren looked down. "Aren't you going to answer me?!" They looked at each other. Seconds passed, Karla decided to speak.
"She's flying in to London, in three days..." My stomach dropped. I stood up, enraged. I honestly felt like hitting something or someone. I couldn't look at them. "Why...why...why would you do that? Do you realize what she's going to do?!" They looked down, as if they already knew the damn answer.
"She's going to want to push me around. Ask me what I plan to do with life. Then once I tell her, she'll say it's absurd. She's gonna want to change my mind. She'll offend me. She'll brag what she has. She'll want me to get along with her new family. For gods sake, that's not even all, you know what she did to me when we were smaller. She's the reason I...I...I..." I started to cry. Lauren hugged me.
"Can't you make her cancel it?" They shook their heads. I let out a loud sigh. "Who is coming with her?" Karla answered. "Um, Tom, their daughter, and your m...Veronica." I rolled my eyes. Of course, she was going to bring her family. She was going to rub in the fact that she now had a better family.
"It's going to be okay. Karla and I will be here. She won't hurt you." I hugged Lauren. She ran her hand up and down my back, trying to soothe me. "Haven't you though that maybe she's changed. What if she's sorry?"
I shook my head. "No, I'll never forgive the person who never was there."
