There was an awkward silence but I was not surprised, it was a heavy load of information that I just dumped into their brittle arms. But I was worried, what would they do now that they knew my truth, my past, and my dark present.
"So what now?" Gabriel said as he looked up. "I dont know, it took me a long time just get as far as telling you guys, but I do know im not going down without a battle." I said with fire in my burning in my eyes. "And your not going in alone either, were by your side every step of the way!" Nina said passion flooding her voice."Yeah and we can each contribute in our own ways, I can handle a knife pretty well." Gabriel said Nina's passion spreading to him.
I look at these two, so ready to defend me and I cant help but burst into tears."I cant tell you guys how much it means to me that you're sticking around" I said wiping away my tears."But you should head on home, I got to go to interview at a bookstore." I said smiling and checking my watch. " Yeah well be safe and good luck!" They said together. They looked at each other and laughed. They were amazing together. I wonder if i'll have that with someone. No, that's not for me i'm not that type I guess.
"So you want to die in battle do you, well I like that in fact I respect it. This will be fun!" Said an ethereal voice. I had never heard its voice before but I was sure that it was the creature. I wasn't going to let this creature know I was scared but I did want to know its name so I could stop calling it a creature. "Whats your name?" I said my voice unwavering. "My name? I have many but the one I'm most know by is Basmu, though I have changed much since those times i'm also known as a demon of both lies and death, but was never given a name to go along with it." Basmu said with a reminiscent tone in its voice. Basmu, where had I heard that before? It doesn't matter I really do have that interview.
