Alek runs his fingers through his hair. "Well, before we get there, I should ask if there is anything, besides the puppets, that we should avoid or look for? And is there some place where I research what I need to?"

"There isn't anyone else really... unless people are suspisous of you. And the only information you get is from the people there."

"Hm... that could prove to be a challenge..." he rubbed his jaw lightly.

"Perhaps... but I will keep you updated if I can... I'll gather as much information on what the Dark Lord is doing..." while they talk Bridgette curls up and shuts her eyes, trying to sleep.

"If you could, that would be grand." Alek looks to Bridgette and brings her so she was laying in his lap. "We shall see how things are."

She is asleep and Death smiles at Alek. "Well... I don't think Dark Lord will do anything until he has the entire family... so dont worry...."

Alek looks to Death, a small smile on his face. "I'll just have to stop him before that could ever happen."

"I don't wanna discourage ya buddy... but it's not easy. Timber was a quick fix, this Lord... he's infinite." He lays back on the boat.

Alek's gaze stays on Death for a moment, before his smile falls and he shifts his focus on Bridgette's sleeping figure. "I know... but I won't rest until I find a way..."

Death sighs "Well you aren't going to find a way without rest. You'll be grumpy if ya dont." He grins.

Alek closes his eyes and chuckles. "I suppose you're right." Alek lays back against the edge of the boat. His hand stays on Bridgette's arm, the other playing with her hair. He sighs, closing his eyes. "Well, I might as well start now..."

Death nods "Sleep well Alekar..."

Alek nods, pulling Bridgette closer, hugging to her lightly until he fell asleep inLater he hears a familiar voice whisper in his ear "Hey... hey..."

His eyes open slowly, with much effort. "Huh...?"

Bridgette is over him, her ears lowered "I hear something in the water... it's dark and I'm scared..."

Alek looks at her, a soft smile on his face. He turned to the water. "What did you hear?" He asks, peeking over the edge.

He sees the floating dead bodies. Bridgette hugs herself "I don't know... a splashing..."

Alek remembers his first time on the river before this lake. He scooted away from the edge. "Yes... it very well may have just been the souls in there... they try to come out onto the boat."

Bridgette eyes widen and she moves to the edge. She leans over the edge and looks in "Should we help them? Why do they want to come in?" Suddenly something reaches up and grabs her hair. She screams as it yanks her, trying to pull her over board.

"Bridgette no! DEATH!" Alek holds tightly to her waist, kicking the hand. "LET. HER. GO!"

She tries to pull away but it grabs her arms, pulling her. She screams and Death suddenly jumps off the boat, diving into the creature. Bridgette falls back on Alek and stares in shock.

"Oh heavens! Death!" Alek checks to make sure Bridgette wasn't injured before standing and looking over the edge, keeping his distance.

Suddenly Death jumps out of the water, landing on a knee and breathing heavy. He simply chuckles.

Alek laughs softly. "Goodness you scared me..."

He sighs and stands up "Well yeah I scared myself. Apparently puppets swim..." he walks to the other side of the boat "Meaning we're close to the city." An enormous city comes into view from the fog.

Alek looks to it, his face falling. "Oh heavens..."
