Chapter Eight

The next morning I wake up to the sound of a car pulling up in the driveway. I look over and see Cayden still asleep beside me. I nudge him awake. "Get out! Your parents are home!" I yell quietly. He puts his clothes on fast and runs out the door. He left my door open. Harleys room is right across from mine. She opens her door and sees Cayden running down the hall while still trying to put his pants on. She looks over at me. "You didn't!" She yells whispering. I motion her to come in my room. She walks over and shuts the door behind her. "I did. And I'm sorry, I should have told you we started dating. I was going to but I couldn't find the right time" I tell her. "It's okay Raelynn calm down" She says laughing. "I was just going to ask how it was" She adds. "Oh. Well.. it was actually my first time" I tell her. "No way! My brother took your V-card!?" She asks in shock. "Shh. Yes" I say laughing. "I was secretly hoping Y'all would get together. He needs someone like you in his life" She says. "Awh thank you Harley" I say while giving her a hug. "You're welcome. And don't forget about the party tonight" She tells me as she walks out the door. I tell her I won't and when she shut the door I jump out of the bed and put my clothes back on. I open the door again and look down the hall. I see Cayden walk out of his room and go downstairs. I follow him down the stairs and to see his parents. As I walk around the corner I see my Aunt Becky standing there talking to his parents. I walk on into the kitchen where they are. "Oh, good morning honey. You and your brother have to get yall's things packed. Y'all are coming to live with me. I got a new place here so Y'all can still go to the same school and be with your friends" Aunt Becky tells me. "Do we have to?" I ask. "Yes Rae, I'm sure Mr. and Mrs. Blake wouldn't want y'all to stay any longer than Y'all have to. I'm here now so Y'all need to get y'all's things ready" She replies. "Nonsense. They can stay another 3 days. That will give them time to get all their things together and also time to gradually fix up their room at your house" Cayden's mother says. "Alright that sounds good" Aunt Becky says with a fake smile. Cayden's parents see Aunt Becky out. "Thank Y'all. You didn't have to do that though" I tell them. "Moving around is stressful. Y'all deserve some time to gradually do it rather than doing it all at once" She replies. I give her a hug and go back upstairs. "What are you doing?" Cayden asks as we reach the top of the stairs. "Well, I'm going to take a shower" I tell him. He gets closer to me. "Can I join?" He asks with a smile. I laugh. "No" I say. He gives me a hug and says okay. I get my clothes and get in the shower. I hear a knock on the door. "Are you almost done?" Cayden asks. "Yeah be out in a minute" I yell back. I get out and dry off and then put my clothes on. I open the door and walk out of the bathroom. "What took you so long?" Harley asks as she runs towards the bathroom. "I'm sorry" I say. Cayden walks over to me and hugs me from behind. "You have to stop doing this while I'm still staying here Cayden" I tell him pushing him off of me. "But babe that's why I'm doing it. I'm going to miss you when you leave" He says. "We will still see each other Cayden. Stop with this lovey stuff" I tell him with a tone. He nods and walks away. I probably hurt his feelings but I can't let his parents see us like that. I go to my room and begin packing a few stuff. Harley walks in and asks if she can help. "No, I've got it but thank you anyways" I tell her. "Are you going to take the room decorations and stuff? I worked so hard on it girl" She asks. "I figured I'd let you have it" I reply. "No Raelynn. I want you to have it. All the furniture, the decorations and the new laptop" She says. "Fine, I guess I'll take them then" I say as I look around the room. "Besides, since you're moving you're not going to have anything. So mom told your brother he could take everything as well" I give her a hug and thank her. After I packed a little bit of my stuff I lay down on the bed. "I'm going to start getting ready for the party tonight" Harley says as she walks towards the door. "It's in like four hours Harley" I tell her. "Yeah but it takes me forever to get ready because I like to take my time" She replies as she walks out and shuts the door. I nod my head and lay back down. My phone vibrates off the table. I pick it up and it's Cayden texting me. "How is everything? I had to leave with mom" It read. "Everything is great Cayden don't worry about anything lol" I reply.
