Chapter Ten

I wake up the next morning when the nurse comes in. "You seem to be doing alright but the Officer's want to ask you some questions" The nurse says. "Okay" I say. "Miss Justice, can you tell me exactly what happened?" The kind Officer asks. "I don't remember much all I saw was an animal. I think it was a wolf. It started running towards me and I was walking backwards and triped and fell. I open my eyes and saw it run into the house and then everything else was a blur" I tell the Officer. "Alright thank you for your report. I don't know if anyone has told you yet but there was some people from that party who were killed" He tells me. I begin crying. "It's alright miss were getting to the bottom of this" The Officer says before he leaves the room. "Was any of our-" Cayden cuts me off. "No. They all made it out okay. Harley is the only one who got hurt" He says. "Okay I feel a little better" I tell him. He kisses me on the forehead. The Doctor said I could go home today if my scans are normal. I hope they are because I hate hospitals so much. "When you get out today we need to start packing" Cayden says. "We?" I say confused. "Yes. you and I and of course your brother are going to be staying at Becky's. I talked to her last night about my situation and she thinks I need to stay with y'all. I already talked to my parents about it. I told them that I wanted to move out and see how things go for a few months" He explains. "She just said you could live with us? No something is up. She's a hunter. You're a werewolf. She would just kill you Cayden" I tell him. "No, she told me that some of her closes friends were werewolves and she said she can help me control it" He tells me. "It won't be easy" I say. "I know. She said I would be in a lot of pain. But the next full moon is only three weeks away. I have a lot to learn" He says. "Alright. When or if I get out of here we'll go pack" I tell him with a smile. "You'll get out Raelynn" He says as he smiles. We lay down on the bed together and watch tv. I end up falling asleep on Cayden's chest. "Raelynn" Cayden says as he nudges me awake. I wake up and see the Doctor standing at the foot of the bed. "Sorry to wake you miss Justice but your scans came back and they look normal so you can go home now" The Doctor says. "Thank you" I tell him. I grab my stuff and start walking out with Cayden. As I'm walking my vision starts to go blurry. "Cayden" I say while scared. "Are you okay Raelynn?" He asks. Right after I said no I fall to the floor and black out. I wake back up in a hospital bed again. I see Cayden talking to the Doctor. "I don't understand. You said her scans were normal" "They are. This is something else" The Doctor replies. "Is there any way that she could be pregnant?" The Doctor asks. I close my eyes. "I don't think so. We only did it once" Cayden answers. "Did you use a condom?" "Of course I did. But it did break" Cayden replies. I have a million things running through my mind. "Well were going to give her a test and see" The Doctor says. I raise up from the bed. "What's going on?" I ask. "The Doctor wants to give you a pregnancy test" Cayden asnwers. "Well I'm not pregnant but I'll take the test for you" I say. A little later the nurse comes in and gives me a stick. I go into the bathroom and peed on it. I walk back out and hand it to the nurse. "Thank you. I'll come back with your results" She tells me. I nod my head and she walks out. "What if you're pregnant Raelynn? What are we going to do?" Cayden asks. "I'm not pregnant Cayden" I tell him. "How can you be so sure?" He asks. "Because I started my period like the day after we did it" I say. "Oh okay. Well that's good" He says. I give him a hug. The nurse walks back in. "Okay so you're not pregnant" She says. I already knew that though. "You are not allowed to leave until we figure out what happened to you" She adds. "I'm pretty sure it was because I haven't been eating well lately" I tell her. "That could be it but the Doctor wants to run tests just to make sure" She says. I tell her okay and she walks back out. The Doctor walks in and says he didn't find anything. "Just go home and eat a good meal and get some rest. You are to stay in bed the rest of they day" He adds. I agree with him and they discharged me from the hospital. Cayden uses his moms car to drive us home. When we got home Cayden insist on carrying me to bed. "I can walk you know" I tell him. "Maybe you can but I'm not gonna risk you blacking out again and falling" He says. I smile and let him carry me. He sits me on the bed. "What would I do without you?" I ask him. "I don't know babe" He replies. He kisses me on the forehead. "I'll fix you a good meal" He says. "Okay" I reply. Harley walks in to check on me. "How are you doing Rae?" She asks. "I'm doing good. Doctor told me I need to eat and stay in bed today" I tell her. "Oh okay. I hope you feel better. I really wish you didn't have to leave" She says with a sad look. "I know me too" I say. "I also can't believe you're taking my brother with you too" She says. "I know but my Aunt Becky can help him" I tell her. "She better and if she can't I want him back home" She says. "I promise Harley" I say. She nods her head and walks out. Cayden walks in with a plate full of food and a drink. "Awh thank you Cayde" I thank him. "No problem sweetie" He says while he kisses me. I start eating what was on the plate. "I'm gonna start packing our things" He says. "Alright don't forget anything" I tell him. I finished eating and laid down. I shut my eyes and fall asleep.
