Chapter Twelve

The next morning I wake up to the smell of coffee. I walk into Aunt Beckys kitchen and seen Cayden standing there with two cups of coffee. "Is one of those for me?" I ask him. "Yeah here you go" He says as he smiles and hands me the cup. I take a sip of the coffee. "Ew where's the sugar?" I ask while laughing. He grabs my coffee and sits it on the table. "I have no idea" He says giggling. I smile at him. He walks closer to me and gives me a kiss. "I have to go wake up my brother" I tell him. I go upstairs and into Noahs new bedroom. I walk over to his bed and watch him as he sleeps for a second. I hate having to bring him into all this mess. I shake his shoulder to get him awake. He opens his eyes. "What time is it?" He asks. "It doesn't matter. It's time for you to get up" I tell him. He uncovers and sits up. I walk out of his room and shut the door behind me. I go back downstairs and see a unfamilar face. "Raelynn!!" The guy yells and runs towards me with his arms open. He grabs me and picks me up off my feet. At this point I am scared for my life. "Please put me down" I tell the guy. He puts me down and looks at me funny. "You don't remember me do you?" He asks. I shake my head. "Not really no" I reply. I can see that it kinda made him feel bad but then he smiles. "I have changed a lot since you seen me" He says. "It's Kent" He adds. I had to think about it for a second. "Oh my gosh! Kent Weathers?!" He nods his head and I run and give him a big hug. Kent was my childhood friend. Me and Adam and Kent. We all been friends since the first grade. When we started middle school Kent's family moved away. This is the first time seeing him since then. "Have you seen Adam? Does he know you're here?" I ask him. "Yeah I gave him a call yesterday letting him now I'll be around today" He answers. I smile. "Kent this is Cayden, my boyfriend and Cayden this is Kent, an old childhood friend" I introduce them. They shake hands. "You better be good to her" Kent teases Cayden. "I most definently do" Cayden replies. I smile up at Cayden. Aunt Becky walks into the kitchen. "Sorry to keep you waiting. Now that everyone is here we need to talk about some stuff" She says. "Noah will you go upstairs and finish unpacking?" She asks him. Noah nods and walks upstairs. "Alright so here's the thing. My friend Dex had a family emergency so Kent here is going to take over and help Cayden" Aunt Becky states. I look at her and then Kent. "I'm sorry, but what did you just say?" I had to make sure what I heard was right. "Kent's a werewolf. He's highly trained and he's a very good teacher" Aunt Becky says. I look at Kent. "Remember when my family moved away? Well I got bit and I told my parents about it and they wanted to help me so we moved away" Kent explains. This is unbelievable. I sit down at the kitchen table. "I know this is a little hard to hear right now but we have a lot to do around here" Kent says. I sigh. "So what's the plan?" I ask. Aunt Becky turns to me. "Okay so what's going to happen is Kent and Cayden go out of town for awhile until Cayden is ready to come back and while they're gone I will be training you" She explains. I look at Cayden and I can easily tell he doesn't like the plan. "Alright" I say. "Okay so everyone has two days to say hello and goodbye" Aunt Becky says. I walk into the other room. Cayden is staying behind talking to Aunt Becky. Kent follows me into the room. "Hey" He says. I turn around and smile. "Hey" I reply. "Would you and Adam like to go somewhere and hangout later tonight?" He asks. "Yes. That would be great!" I say. Kent gives me a hug and I walk upstairs. I go into my room. A few minutes later Cayden walks in. He kisses me and then wraps his arms around me. "How about me and you do something together tonight?" He asks. I look at him and then down at the floor. "I'm hanging out with Adam and Kent tonight" I tell him. He lets go of me and sits on the bed. "Seriously Raelynn?" He says with a tone. "What?" I ask. "We will be apart for god knows how long and you rather hangout with Adam and Kent?" He replies. "It's not like that Cayden! We can hangout tomorrow night" I tell him. He shakes his head. "No. Forget it. I wanted to spend my last couple of days with you. Loving you and give you a night to remember" He says. I can tell he's upset. I sit down beside him on the bed. "We can do that tomorrow babe. I promise" I tell him. "I just hate the fact that you're hanging out with Adam and ANOTHER guy" He admits. I look at him. "Why are you so worried?" I ask. "I'm afraid that while I'm gone, you and Adam will start hanging out a lot again and old habits will start happening again" He says as he stares at the floor. I grab his face. "You have nothing to worry about" I tell him and give him a kiss.
