"well, I can't say I exactly planned to be here." I said to the boy next to me. We were both sat under a birch tree in the village.
"no, but you had the choice to prevent it." he replied, looking at me.
"I guess, but that could have lead to more pain and suffering and I have had enough of that. Trust me." I responded, staring straight ahead.
"pain and suffering huh? What got you here?" he questioned, fiddling with his hands.
"well, my parents died in a car crash when I was young so they wouldn't remember me. I didn't have any friends as I was kind of an outsider at school. I didn't have a boyfriend cause, let's face it, nobody wants a damaged, lonely, lil' shit who looks like this." I said gesturing to my face. "and I mean my family never bothered to care or help me, because of my parents who were sort of like Romeo and Juliette. Ya know, both from different families who hate each other's guts. I mean the only chance I would have at being remembered would be the bar I used to sing at but still, I'm irrelivent." I said huffing and raising my hands in frustration.
"why would you think that way about yourself?" he asked, puzzled.
"take a look at me, do I look like somebody you'd want to know?" I explained.
"yes actually, I find you quite interesting."
"your only saying that cause the rest of the people here are over the age of 40." I said staring at him.
"no, I'm not." he expressed, getting closer.
"yeah yeah, whatever." I retorted. "so how'd you get here then?" I asked him back.
"I wanted to start a new life, thought this would be the easiest way. So I made sure to cut all ties I had with anyone and waited to be forgotten." he explained.
"well looks like we are both starting a new life..." I waited for him to tell me his name.
"Ryan." he replied. "and yours?"
"(Y/N)."
"pretty name for a pretty face." I blushed and looked down.
"I doubt that" came my small reply. There was a short silence before I spoke again "I'm still not completely sure what this place is. Do you mind explaining?" I asked.
"well, (Y/N). This is the village of the forgotten. In life, if nobody is forgotten enough to the extent that nobody would realise their disappearance, they are transported here to start a new life. We have the mayor of the village called Mountgomery jew-" I cut him off when I snickered at what he said.
"Sorry, his name just sounds an awful lot like mountain jew." I apologised, making him laugh with me.
"Anyway, moving on, each village has a certain capacity. If a village reaches 200 citizens then a new village is made for new forgotten people." he explained.
"well is there any way of getting back to the outside world?" I asked.
"I'm not sure but if there is a way I sure as hell haven't seen it." he replied.
"ok." I said, not sure whether or not I was happy about that or not. " it's getting kind of late, do you mind showing me to my dorm?" I asked, hopeful.
"sure what number is it?"
"M16" Ryan's face turned into one of shock.
"what a coincidence that just so happens to be my dorm also." I chuckled, standing up. Once he had done that he reached out his hand and helped me up. I thanked him and we walked to our shared dorm.

"I didn't expect it to be this big."(that's what she said) I exclaimed, looking around. Although we did have to share a bedroom, the room was massive with two king-sized beds next to each other and two wardrobes. Both sides of the room were identical. White everything with subtle hints of (F/C) every wear.
"When I got put in here they asked me what my favourite colour was," started Ryan. "I chose (F/C) sorry If you don't like it." He apologised tidying his side of the room.
"No problem, it's my favourite colour actually." I responded getting comfy on the bed. It was extremely comfy. A small (F/A) cuddly toy sat in the middle of the bed. Wow, they really want to impress us!
There was a short awkward silence of me just staring into the distance with a sad look on my face as I reminisce of my old life. Of course it wasn't great but something about leaving it makes me upset. Ryan seems to read my mind as he stops the silence.
"I know what will make you feel better! Let's make a big fort, put in all of our pillows and toys and we can eat sweets, watch a movie and stay up all night! What do ya say?" Ryan's joyful voice immediately made me smile.
"That sounds great." I laugh grabbing my bed sheet as he grabbed his.

"It took 2 hours but we did it!" Ryan explained before collapsing into the fort from exhaustion. I soon followed after him crawling inside and picking a movie to watch.
We finally settled on (F/M) as it was both our favourites. I cuddled up to my animal and relaxed next to Ryan, I could feel the heat radiating off of him. It was comforting and soothing. It made me feel safe.
Ryan realised I was staring at him and turned his head to me with a smile. Sub-conciously we both leaned in until our faces were inches apart.
A sudden ringing sound caused Ryan to turn his head to the source. He pulled his phone out of his pocket to see that a girl named "Kelcie" was calling him.
"Who's that?" I asked innocently. Ryan took a sharp breath in before he released (; a long sigh.
"My girlfriend."
