An-don't hate me but I'm putting myself in this but I'll be irrelevant anyway. XD
being a lifeguard had its perks, like being thanked for saving lives and getting to stay on the beach all day but it also has its downs like having someone's life in your hands or complete and utter idiots messing about and getting mad when you tell them not to be complete and utter idiots.

Like the other day for example. In the beach where I work there is a tall cliff which is very dangerous for inexperienced divers. Because of this, there is a big fence that blocks people off from getting up there, however, a group of young adult males decided it would be a good idea to climb over the big fence saying 'DANGER' and have a little fun on the big deathly cliff.

Spotting them from my chair I blew your whistle that got the attention of my colleague Sam who went up there to stop them. Watching from my chair I saw that the boys had refused to get down. There was one tall one who seemed fine leaving and even went to walk away before his friend grabbed his arm and pulled him back.

I grew somewhat concerned as the boys showed no sign of leaving anytime soon. Things seemed fine and under control until the tall guy got pushed closer to the edge of the cliff. getting down from my chair in case he did get pushed off I told my other co-worker to get lookout.

Surely enough the guy did get pushed off of the cliff. Quickly running into the sea I swam as fast as I could until I  reached the man. I placed a ring buoy around him and swam to shore.

He was unconscious. His heart was beating just fine but he had stopped breathing. By now all of his friends had surrounded him alongside Sam.

"heartbeat normal, not breathing,"I told Sam. He double checked before looking at me and saying " your gonna have to do mouth to mouth."

Giving a quick nod I pinched his nose and blew in his mouth three times before checking if he was breathing again. He wasn't. Repeating the previous steps I hoped he would gain consciousness. On my third breath, he sputtered up water and turned to his side to cough.

His friends all cheered and I finally got a good look at his face. He was kinda cute. "thank you." he managed to get out to which you replied with "anytime."

One of his friends stood up and walked over to me. "hi I'm Brendon. Thanks for saving my friend's life back there."

"well, I wouldn't have had to if you didn't try to kill him in the first place." I retorted looking him in the eye.

"haha, dipshit." my other co-worker said behind me. Brandon turned around while I stood, laughing.

"umm, do you speak to everyone like that," he said turning to look at her.

"only the dumb ones," she replied with a smirk. I was interrupted from listening by a slight tap on my shoulder.

"Hi, I'm Dallon. I just wanted to thank you for saving my life back there," he said with sincerity laced in his voice.

" It's okay. It's my job." I said with a smile "I'm (Y/N) by the way."

"nice name. Do you know what's also nice? That new restaurant that opened down the street. Maybe we should check it out sometime. Together. Alone." he explained, implying that he was asking me out on a date.

"if you're asking me out on a date, then yes. But if you're trying to get me alone so you can kill me, no." I said adding humour to the situation.

" Yes, you saved your life, now I'm planning your death because secretly I wanted to die," he replied with energy and hype.

"GREAT, now I can finally live out my lifelong dream." this conversation was oddly comfortable as we have only just met yet I feel as though I've known him forever.

"haha, anyway how about I meet you there at 7:00 tonight," he suggested.

"yea but let's exchange phone numbers, just in case something comes up," I added walking over to my bag near the hut.

Once I got there, he told me his number and I typed it into my contacts. He then left and I went home to get ready for my date.

~*~

Looking at myself one last time before I left, I grabbed my bag (I feel like it is the person to wear a backpack with a dress or on a date if you wouldn't just change it to a purse also I don't mind what you wear you can pick.xx) which contained my phone, purse, some makeup. After that, I grabbed my keys off of the side and headed out, locking the door on my way out and placing the keys in my bag before I started heading to the restaurant.

It was a new Italian restaurant sat had only opened about weeks ago. It seemed nice. I think it was called 'Bella Italia' but I wasn't certain.

Walking along the pavement I saw the sun setting over the horizon of the beach and it looked gorgeous. It's one of the reasons I moved here. I've always loved the beach since a young age and I wouldn't live anywhere else in the world.

Tearing my eyes away from the beauty I look ahead to see Dallon outside the restaurant, looking rather handsome. As I reached him, I tapped him on the shoulder. He turned to look at me, with a bright smile that made me week at the knees.

" Hey (Y/N), you look breathtaking tonight."He said looking me up and down. I felt a blush creep up onto my cheeks but I managed to hide it well.

" thanks! You look great too" I added, smiling up at him.

"thank you. Well, should we go in then," he said, opening the door for me.

"thank you," I said stepping inside and walking up to the front of the restaurant. Dallon took a place next to me.

"reservation for 2. Under the name Weekes," he told the waitress.

"right this way sir," she said with a smirk, which for some reason got my blood boiling. Was she flirting with my date? She better not or she's gonna get it.

"this one right here," she said pointing to a small table with two chairs and a small candle in the middle. Overall it was quite cute and romantic. The woman left and came back about 10 minutes later.

"so what can I get for you tonight sir?" she asked him getting closer.

"Um, can I have a glass of red wine and a fettuccine alfredo please, " he replied.

"and you," she said, not looking at me. rude.

"can I have (insert order). Please" I asked.

"yes," she said rather bluntly before walking off.

" I'm not the only one noticing that she's flirting with mean ignoring you, right?" Dallon asked having to bight his sentence at the end to refrain from laughing.

"it couldn't be more obvious."

" thank you for the amazing date, Dallon," I said as he stood outside my door.

"no problem," he said before he took a step closer. I didn't know what to say so I just looked him in the eyes. I didn't realise till I could hear him quietly berthing that we had both bean leaning in.

One thing led to another and we both closed the gap between us, creating a magical kiss. It was that kiss that gave you another reason to stay here.
