Against The Ban | JiMina

Chapter 5

The two exited out of the bowling alley, still holding hands. Actually, Jimin doesn't care about what's gonna happen, as long as he's with Mina, and as long as they have their masks on.

"Where are we going anyway?" Mina asked.

"You'll see" Jimin replied and hailed a cab. Once they got in the taxi, they removed their masks and settled themselves.

"Annyeonghaseyo ahjussi, kindly take us to..." Jimin whispered the rest of the words he needs to say to the driver. Mina was still confused where they are going. The driver nodded and drived again, heading to where Jimin has told him.

"Mina, I want you..." Jimin muttered while staring through the window. Mina then looked at him, surprised.

"W-what?" She asked, making sure she just misheard things earlier.

"I want you to see the place I want you to see. Don't worry, it's beautiful, just like you" Jimin looked at her and said. She was flattered by his words, not sure if she's going to fangirl or just force herself not to.

"Sure, I would love to see the place you're talking about" Mina replied. Mina's reply was followed by silence, the comfortable kind of silence.

Less than 20 minutes when they arrived at their destination. Mina gasped while looking at the view outside through the window. Jimin paid the driver, both of them thanked the driver and got out of the cab then wore their masks.

"Come, let's buy food from those food stalls over there first and then we can eat and chill on the wide bench there" Jimin said and held Mina's hand again, intertwining it with his. Mina's heart started to beat faster again. Seriously, why is he being like this to me right now?

"Mina, what's yours?" Jimin asked her.

"Are you being sincere about paying the food for me? Because I can pay it for my own. Don't wanna burden you, you know" she replied.

"I'm the guy, and I'm older so why should I let you pay? Perhaps, I'm the one who invited and brought you here with me. So I'll be the one to pay" he replied and showed her his adorable smile that can melt you in an instant.

"Ah, okay. Thank you" she replied and blushed. She then rolled her eyes around the menu's list.

"Korean fried chicken and bulgogi!" She exclaimed happily which made Jimin giggle.

"Annyeonghaseyo ahjumma, can we have two servings of korean fried chicken and bulgogi? Kindly serve it using a bowl, thank you" Jimin said to the vendor. The vendor simply nodded and gave the two a smile.

"You both are an adorable couple" the vendor said which made the two blush.

"Ani, we aren't a couple ahjumma, we're just friends" Mina replied.

"You both look good together... wait here for at least 20 minutes and your food will be served" the vendor replied and let her companions do the cooking.

"So basically, us looking good together has now become a fact?" Jimin asked.

"I-I don't know. Do we really are?" Mina asked and blushed.

"I don't know either" Jimin replied and scratched the back of his neck due to embarrassment.

After 20 minutes, their food has been served and they went to the bench where Jimin pointed earlier. What's nice is that there were really few people hanging around the park, and the park itself is really beautiful, with the trees and flowers grew randomly while the front view is facing the beautiful calm sea. They sat down on the bench and placed their food on the table. They took off their masks and began eating.

"Mhmm, this is really delicious. And the park, is really beautiful too" Mina said.

"The park is perfect, isn't it? I have always loved this place" Jimin replied then took a bite of the fried chicken.

"It is. Since when did you find this place though?" Mina asked then stuffed a piece of meat on her mouth.

"Since I was still a trainee, back when I always got stressed, training for almost 24/7, I always go here to chill. Alone. Well, sometimes with my members but usually, they're too lazy to come with me" he replied.

"Oh. When I'm stressed, I just sleep" she replied.

"Are you overworking? Or perhaps, is your group overworking?" He asked.

"I can't deny the fact that we are really overworking. And me... I don't know how much I can hold my idol life, sometimes, I just wish I'm a normal person" she replied and frowned.

"Same. It's okay, things are just what it seems to be. Accept and embrace the reality, work on it and learn... learn how to love it" he replied and nudged Mina's elbow which made her to look at him. Mina smiled at his encouraging and comforting words.

"Thank you Jimin sun-- I mean Jimin" she replied and blushed.

They continued eating and talking, mostly about their idol life and also complimenting the good food. They became comfortable with each other, Jimin made Mina open up except on her private thoughts. Same with Jimin, Mina made him open up his thoughts, likes, and dislikes except his private thoughts.

Once they finished eating, Jimin suggested that they should roam around the park and just continue talking about random things. With their masks on, as they were walking, Jimin asked this one question that made her heart beat fast.

"Is it true that I'm the male idol you like the most?" He asked while looking at her.

"Eh... yes Jimin it's true" she replied while looking down, feeling embarrassed.

"Oh. Thanks" he replied and shyly smiles.

"Is it true that you like me the most too?" Mina asked. This time, Jimin was the one who blushed.

"Yes it's true" Jimin replied and scratched the back of his neck. Mina was about to reply but a thought came out of her mind.

What time is it? She thought.

"Jimin what time is it now?" She asked. Jimin then looked at his watch.

"Shoot it's already 2:35. We need to go back now I guess" Jimin replied.

"Yeah right. Let's go" Mina replied and this time she was the one who held and intertwined Jimin's hand with hers. She dragged Jimin in a kinda fast way. Jimin's heart beat fast at the girl's sudden action.

This girl is really something, I really like her. He thought.
