Hermione was surprised she woke up at nine. She rarely slept late, in her opinion, it was unprofessional. Hermione looked around the room taking in the unfamiliar surrounding.

She didn't remember what happened yesterday. Though she did have a strange dream of meeting a girl named Tessa. Even odd, she'd seen Malfoy. Worse, shirtless.

Hermione shrugged at her surrounding, thinking Ron had surprised her last night and taken her to a luxurious hotel. She was too sleepy to think about it so much, but she was happy that she and Ron bonded last night. It's been so long since she's had a goodnight sleep.

Yawning loudly, Hermione stretched her sore muscles groaning in pain when a sudden, almost eletric like, bolt flashed inside her head. Hermione doubled over, groaning.

"Bloody Merlin, Granger, can you be anymore louder" Draco Malfoy entered the room, snorting at Hermione's lack of manners.

Hermione, startled, fell to the floor with a loud thud! A scream exit from her parted lips.

"Malfoy!" She heard herself exclaim. Hermione's face flushed with embarrassment as the events of yesterday began to clear up. Her fuzzy memory was now crystal clear.

Hermione realized, then, she was at her Tessa's house. Silently, Hermione laughed at herself for assuming that Ron had rented this apartment for her. Even his salary can't cover up the cost of such a magnificent place.

"Granger, are you going to stay down there for the rest of the day being unattractive or for once act like a normal human?" Draco's words entered the dazed girl's mind, snapping her out of her ungrateful thoughts.

Hermione sat up straight, giving Draco a stinky eye. Draco's smirk only seemed to grow larger at the wild haired girl.

Suddenly, Tessa skips into the room. Her red hair was as wild as Hermione's and her smile was contagious.

"Morning, Hermmy!" The girl chirped grabbing Hermione's sore arm and helping her to her feet. Tessa drops two pills into the sleepy girl's hand along with a glass of warm water. Hermione gulped the two pills in one go, ignoring Malfoy's remarks about her hair.

"G'morning, Tess", Hermione replied smiling at Tessa.

Brushing her teeth with a spare brush and finishing up her business in the bathroom, Hermione does something she never dreamed of doing; having breakfast with two Slytherins, including Draco Malfoy.

For somewhat reason it felt normal to be with the two stranger. It felt. . .nicer. Tessa and Hermione made small conversations throughout the meal while Draco only made some ignorant remark in between statements.

"I've always wanted to see how it's like with a Gryffiondor!" Tessa squeals. She clasped her hands together and grinned widely, jumping on her seat. Hermione couldn't help but laugh at her excited friend. A warm feeling of pride filled up inside her as she began talking about how good being a Gryffiondor was.

"It was all about being brave. The food and people were lovely, we all united in the wa-"

"Okay, Granger, we get it. Gryffindors' are bloody perfect. Can you shut up and eat now?" The anger in Draco's voice sets Hermione off.

"Oh? And what, may I ask Malfoy, did your house even do to help in the war?" Hermione crossed her arms over her chest, frustrated.

Draco's anger flared. He was affected by the war just like many others. It angered him to talk about his wrong doings and regrets. It reminded him of so many losses and pain. Draco wanted everything to stop. He wanted nothing more to curl up on the ground and cry his eyes out. But he knew he had to be strong. It was the only way to stop people from breaking him more because he knew he'd broken them in some way. He didn't want anymore regrets in his life.
