Blaise was still grinning when Draco slapped him on the back of his head.

"It was a joke, dear Merlin!" Draco sneers at Blaise. It amused Hermione how close the pair of them were. Even the glare given to Blaise seemed playful.

Tessa looking back and forth between the two man, having to seek out the truth. She was very confused, Hermione thought, might as well lighten it up a little more.

"Or maybe it wasn't," Hermione says, skeptically. A one sides smirk etches itself upon her face as she sees Draco's facial expressions change from anger to disbelief.

"Really, Granger?" Draco's mouth twitches. He was keeping himself from swearing at the brunette. It was obvious that if he'd open he's mouth the situation would turn worse then it already was.

"Yes, oh dear, how heartbroken you must be-I don't love you back!" Blaise had a hand over his mouth. His giggles were held in, only the slightest. Hermione could hear his laugh stifle behind his hand. The laugh wrinkles by his eyes ensured her that she was right.

"Gra-" Tessa had had enough. Hermione bit her lip to keep herself from blurting into a fit of loud giggles. Draco had opened his mouth a little too wide.

Hermione couldn't stop herself; seems like neither could Blaise, as both adults' laughter filled in the large room.

"Blimey. What, in Merlin's name, is going on?" Tessa's eyes widened at the duo. Even though Tessa hadn't ever been to Hogwarts, she'd always know about the rivalry between Gryfindor and Slytherin. Tessa had heard that the old rivalry was still looming in at Hogwarts even after the wars, though not as much as before.

At the sight of the two laughing; Blaise and Hermione, Tessa knew a sudden friendship between them had bloomed. It was a surprising scene, even for Draco whose mouth was slightly open from when he was cut off.

Hermione gasped to a stop. She hastily wiped off the incoming tears at the corners of her eyes as she sighed.

"Ah, good one." Blaise said.

"Can anyone answer me now?" Tessa asked again, her patience running low. The picture of Blaise and Hermione laughing was still plastered in her mind. A sudden feeling of loathing enveloped her insides as she stared at Hermione.

Tessa was envious of Hermione since the day she'd step foot here. Tessa had no right, of course, but she despised Hermione for her beauty. Envied her for her beauty and loathed her for her kindness. Still, Tessa couldn't bring herself to hate Hermione. The girl was understanding. She had a kind heart. Tessa wished Hermione was easier to hate.

Hermione frowned at the change in Tessa's expression.

"Tess?" Draco took the red head'd hand and pulled her down on the seat next to him, "You okay?"

Hermione was touched at the concern in Draco's voice.

"Yes, I am fine. A little head ache, that's all" Tessa humorlessly laughed it off, waving her hand. Draco shared a uncertain glance with Hermione.

"Infact, I was going to have a shower!" Tessa, without looking at any of them, stormed out of the room. Her hair flying behind her like fire.

"What's up with her?" Blaise asked munching on a salted cracker, not really concerned. Draco glared at both Hermione and Blaise before following Tessa out.

Hermione glanced at the preoccupied Blaise. She rolled her eyes at him, certain that he won't be answering her questions seriously, and fleed the room.

On her way to the kitchen, Hermione heard Draco call out for Tessa while knocking soundly on her door.

"Go away, Draco!" Tessa sobbed from the other side. Hermione's heart raced, she stepped towards Draco.
