It wasn't like Hermione wasn't expecting it. Deep down she'd known all along that something like this was bound to happen, as bad as it sounds. Though she had also been hoping she was wrong.

Hermione swore in anger at herself, the world, and basically everything that audacity to actually exist.

Harshly growling at all the disappointment that had cowered away in her mind when she was better mood, lingered at the corners of her mind ready to attack her consciousness when the time had come. And unfortunately, that was now. Her small, slightly tan, hands clutched the newspaper that held the end to her so called 'relationship' with the one and only Ronald Weasley.

Hermione closed her eyes as the tears she had been holding back ran freely down her rosy, sun kissed cheeks. Her anger was overwhelming, even for her. It was like her mind couldn't truly comprehend what was happening at that moment.

Hermione forced herself to breath slowly, allowing herself to slow down her heavy breathing and racing heartbeat.

Slowly, her opened her bloodshot eyes and blinked in pain. The usually gentle sun rays that softly stroked her skin like a lover would caress their significant other, now harshly glared down at the young brunette, sending out a series of blinding yellow light; causing Hermione to squeeze her brilliant dark brown eyes shut. Letting her eyes adjust to the sunlight, Hermione opened her eyes and focused on the newspaper her hands still held. Finally her vision was back to normal again.

Hastily, she skimmed though the paper again, hoping she'd misread it. Unfortunately she was met with the same utterly disgusting words- that made her want to hurl- as before;

Ronald Weasley Spotted With Shebby Clarkson.

Best friend of the Boy Who Lived, Ronald Weasley and, daughter of the famous Quittich player, Shebby Clarkson; were spotted in a bar located at the eastern side of New England. Both pure bloods looked extremely cozy with one another as they held hands and whispered sweet nothing to eachother. Witnesses also claim they left the bar tangled around eachother in a very- well mind you, 'inappropriate way', they'd said.

Reports says that Weasley has been seen with Clarkson since the match the day before. Both adults seemed to be carrying on, shamelessly, flirting.

What bothers everyone the most is; where is war heroine, Hermione Granger. Weasley and Granger had recently been engaged last week-

Hermione lets out a another furious growl, throwing the newspaper away from her as though it had burnt her somehow. The brunette moans in pain, clutching her shirt where her heart was. Her mind was shut down. Her body was numb because of all the pain her mind had endured.

She did what Ron did when he was not thinking straight.

She went to the bar, hoping to drown all her sorrow and forget everything that she'd read.

It was her fifth glass. Hermione was planning on consuming no more then two, but had merely lost track. She gulped down the burning liquor, gagging slightly at the bitter taste. Her throat begged for her to stop, but Hermione was satisfied by the pain. It only made her realize she was human and no matter what people say, she could cry because her heart ached so much. Because that is what you do when you are human. You break. You heal.
