Elizabeth Costa POV:
" Well regarding today's incident, the woman who was in your office was-" I got cut off by the sound of things dropping.
What came to me first was Brandon. I quickly rush towards Brandon's room to check if he was hurt.
"Oh no are you alright Brand?" I said as I saw him using his arms to cover his head from the falling books.
"I'm fine mummy. Sorry I made a mess." Brandon said.
"It's okay sweetie your safety is my number one priority." I caressed his head.
"I'll help you take your storybook, while you go and wait in the living room alright?" I asked Brandon.
"Thank you mummy." Brandon said and went out.
I sighed. "Beth it's fine. Accidents happen and most importantly Brandon is safe."
"I know but I feel like a terrible mom. I shouldn't have let him do things alone. I should have been there to watch him." I felt very upset with myself.
"Beth, you're a wonderful mom. I'm sure Brandon would agree to it as well. You've tried your best so don't be so harsh on yourself." Chris said as he engulfs me in a hug.
"Thank you, Chris." I said softly.
"Hmm, why not express to me that you're thankful? Actions speak louder than words." Chris said to lighten the mood up.
"You just know how to grab opportunities." I said as scrunched my nose a little.
"Can't you give your baby a kiss?" Chris pouted.
I laughed. "Why not? But he is outside I shall go now." I said as I tried to loosen his grip.
"Ha.Ha. Very funny. You're not going till you give me what I want." Chris acted like a child throwing tantrum.
I smirked as I thought of something cheeky.
"Could you lower your face a little?" I asked acting all innocent.
"Why? You better not try anything funny." Chris warned me.
"So that I could reach you. You are 6'2 while I'm 5'8. Let me estimate for you in metres, you are 1.88m and I'm 1.73m."
"I'll believe your debate." Chris said and bend down a little to reach my face.
"Thank you." I said trying to control my laughter.
I lean nearer to his lips and he closed his eyes. I tried to stop myself from smiling and made contact with his lips.
You will not expect what I did to him. I blew raspberries on his lips! Haha!
Chris eyes immediately opened." Elizabeth." Chris groaned.
"Alright alright." I said.
This time for real I kissed him. I pulled away before he deepens the kiss.
"That's much better." Chris said smiling.
