The sharp rays peeping through the gaps of the thick curtains made her open her eyes at last. Still feeling tired and lazy from the last day she rubbed her eyes and snuggled inside of covers. Her body didn't wish like to leave the warm bed, she grabbed one of cushion and rested her head on it, jab aadatein choot jaati hai na tab aisa hi hota hai. Pehle kitna accha tha aur ab dekho" she chided on her lazy behaviour with closed eyes and stretched her body at opposite side to wake her husband which was surprisingly empty.
Raman!!!
She sat back on bed with a jerk realising his absence and called his name aloud to check him. Hearing no response from him she checked balcony and than the washroom which were empty as well. She wore her slippers and took a stride of stairs towards his study in hope to find him. She came back in disappointment seeing the neatly arranged empty study. Her face fell wondering about his absence when she entered in her room back, it was unlikely of his behaviour. In the entire period of their marriage he never left for office this early.
She sat at the end of the bed with sad face wondering where do her husband disappeared in such early hours of dawn without informing her.
Wait! What bothered her more? His absence or the thing he didn't informed her.....
She shrugged off her thoughts and started to arrange the bed. He didn't even discussed anything with her yesterday. It's true that they never shared any normal relation of husband and wife but he always told her everything about his schedule, next day working timings, meetings etc. She knew this all things are out of her concern but he always did in order to feel her special. She smiled on his thoughtfulness, when her eyes saw a pink paper on coffee table. She picked it, it was note by Raman for her...
Good morning,
Sorry for this early disappearance but I have an important breakfast meeting to attend. I don't have heart to break your sweet sleep that's why I didn't wake you up. Please have your breakfast on time. Romi will come to pick you and drop you back from work. Don't wait for me at dinner.Take care
Raman 😊She took a deep breath and read letter again. His note disappointed her highly. Is he going to stay away from her for the entire day? She wondered continue to re-read the note. Maybe he did all this not to disturb her but she would be more happy if he would told her by his own. She made a face and went towards washroom to start her day.

"Raman bhai...stop "
"Bhai aap thak jaaoge "
"Bhai please it's more then an hour now "
"Bhai..."
"Bhai... "
Mihir realised his throat almost chocked calling Raman who was not ready to pay any heed on its word. He glanced at his wristwatch and sighted seeing the time. It was almost an hour since Raman started playing and he didn't look in any mood to stop. He keenly observed Raman who's legs started to give up and breaths were uneven but the man looked nowhere to stop. They reached together at sports complex around seven at morning and Raman started playing squash after after a quick change. For Raman playing sports was a way to run away from stress and being a best friend Mihir was aware about the things which were bothering his friends but it's heights now. The over exertion is not good for him and it may lead him towards fatigue.
Deeply involved in his game Raman chose not to pay any heed on his body which started to betray him after a continous hour of play. We came at sports complex to divert his mind but whenever he close his eyes but the memories weren't ready to leave him. He served the ball and put his entire concentration for the next ball which never reached back to him. He wiped the sweat from his forehead and looked at other side, Mihir's unexpected presence angered him immediately. He threw his racquet with a loud thud seeing him standing infront of him unaffected of his anger.
