Day unknown
Kairi POV
Darkness.
Where am i? Was this death? i looked around and only saw darkness. I was suspended in the middle of darkness. But there was one thing that comforted me. I neather felt the pain or sadness i did before. I felt... happy. Where was this exactly? i questioned myself over and over again. I remembered what happened before i came here. Hanging in the makeshift noose i'd even felt the blood leaving my lifeless body. Then i'm dead?
Someone chuckled. I turned around and seen a bright light coming towards me. No, it wasn't light. It was... a person? A beautiful woman enshrouded in pure white light stopped a little before me. I didn't know her.
"Who are you?" I called out? She laughed. Her voice tinkled like bells. It warmed me. But i didn't know why.
"Dear, who i am is not the most important question now is it?" she smiled. I blinked. She was right.
"Then i'll ask. Where am i? Am i dead?" the thought of being dead didn't make me feel sad at all. Here i felt at peace. As almost as if she could read my mind. She frowned. Wrinkles decorated her pretty forehead. I cocked my head to the side in questioning. She took a step closer to me and her face suddenly had a smile back in place. Then she answered me.
"My dear child, this is the darkness residing in you, But, you are not dead. Its not your time yet. You still have things to do back in that world, as much as it pains you to be living, you must fulfill your purpose." She tilted her head slightly and smiled. Her blonde curls bounced around her before resting back on her waist. Her eyes were the lightest lilac. I was overwhelmed by her beauty before what she had said kicked in.
"I-I have a purpose? There was a reason i lived in misery? Then tell me if i had a purpose why did i have to live in pain every day? Fearing yet welcoming the next day to be my last? I was rejected by everyone! Tell me, Where is the purpose in that?" I felt angry and sad. Even in this comfort. I stared at her awaiting her response. She just looked back and smiled a sad smile.
"What pain you have lived through. But i see now that unfortunately, it was necessary. To prepare you for the hardships ahead, you have lived like that to make you stronger. You have a genuine purpose Kairi. And when you achieve it, you can be sure to live in happiness." She walked to me and stopped right infront of me. I couldn't really have a purpose...could i? Weirdly enough i believed her. She had a calming effect on me and her word seemed to speak only the truth.
"Listen" She said. Her breath fanned my face warmly. Why did she have this effect on me? But i did as i was told.
"Listen far and wide, there is a reason you have powers different to those around you. Listen and feel the emotions of the people around you. They have rescued you. And will continue to, from your pain. These strangers found you on the edge of their territory. The last words you heard were the words 'no!' right? These strangers don't know you and yet care for you as much as possible. Open up to them." I closed my eyes and listened.
I could hear someone crying. There was movement to both sides of where i was. I felt warmth enveloping my hands. Was somebody holding them? I concentrated harder.
"What's happening doc? will she be okay? Please god tell me she'll be okay." A male voice beside me.
"It's still touch and go, this girl obviously had a tough life to actually try to end it. I can do all i can but in the end its down to her if she wakes up or not." A deeper males voice said to my right but he was standing at a different level to where i was.
