Two years later
Kairi POV
Its been two years to the day since i left and was welcomed into the Shadow jewel pack.
I had made family and friends here and my life felt complete. But there was always going to be one thing missing.
My mate.
Sighing, I was missing something i was never going to get.
Standing up on the nearby river bank i went over what had happened since i came here.
On the second day i started training with the rest of the pack and became the best fighter. I had unlocked alot of my powers which were all like they were out of a fairytale book.
Apart from my mood changing eyes, My powers were to be able to read minds without a mind link, i could run 10x the speed of a normal werewolf, i was naturally strong, i heard things at a far larger distance than normal and for some reason i could go invisible. Oh how we'd laughed when we'd found that one out but my wolf told me that there was more to come.
Life as i knew it was great.
"Kai!! get your cute butt over here and get some food!" shouted my best friend Chloe. I chuckled. She was about 5 miles away. Getting up and dusting myself off, I ran towards the pack house. I got there in a minute and she looked at me in shock. I was right in front of her all of a sudden and she still wasn't used to it. I laughed my head off at her reaction while she stuck her tongue out at me.
She was shorter than my 5ft 9 stature and had straight blonde hair. Her eyes a dazzling green that sparkled when she laughed. She was the best friend id ever had and we shared everything together. We were more like sisters than anything.
The pack was sitting around two picknic tables and eating burgers and hotdogs. I smiled at them as the beckoned us over. I picked Chloe up and ran to the table popping her on a seat. Everyone laughed. She smacked my arm and blushed a little. her reaction was always the best.
Looking at Chloe as i sat opposite her i made my eyes flash yellow with humour. She grinned and started to pull burgers towards herself.
We all had a good day and the twins decided to do a comedy stand up making us all laugh at how stupid they were acting. They decide to make a joke out of my eyes and asked if i could set them up a spot light. i wasnt happy and nor were they when they saw my eyes turn black. They started to run away and i joked around trying to catch them with normal speed.
When night started to roll over we all headed inside the pack house. It wasn't a mansion...exactly. Just a very large house as i like to describe it.
"Kairi, we need to talk." Jaden called. Looking at him and ready to read his mind before he held his hand up to me.
"This is serious Kai, no mind reading i need to tell you face to face." his expression serious. I frowned. Wondering what could possibly be that bad?
Leading me into the office i sat in a chair opposite him and waited for his explanation.
He took a deep breath before saying to me "You'd better brace yourself because what you hear next will definately not be pretty."
Looking at me, all i saw was pain and a slight anger streak.
Whatever it is im not gonna like it.
"Right Kai heres the thing. We've been requested for back up in the West, your old pack." I sat there for a few seconds, shcked before my eyes changed to a Dark blue and he carried on.
