Walking alone through the lane,
being without you is such a pain.
My thoughts from the past rumble
and rumble
like the 7am train
that took you away.

My heart aches.
My lungs are tight.
My eyes burn.
My... my...

I know, I know...
I promised I wouldn't cry
but all I can do is try.
You left me like a shattered kiss,
which will never be missed.
But I can't say that you'll be remembered
because now my heart has been chambered.

Two
Three
Breathe...
Sniff, sniff
Wipe, wipe

You made me laugh,
but cried.
You made me run,
but then I got caught...
You made me smile...
For a second.
But then I was sad all over again
But you didn't care—

you never did;
you just stretched you mouth like 'the Cheshire cat'
and told me to follow.

Short, shy, silent,
I followed you.
Into another world—
a dark, gloomy tunnel,
and I could not turn back.

One day you left,
and I could not have cared any less.
But now...

I'm alone
with no hand to hold
left in the bitter cold.

But you don't care
you never did.

And now I know,
deeper than the snow,

a beat in my heart has been stopped...
