Henry's POV

I entered the cafeteria after tagging along with my friends and we sat down as usual. The cheerleaders always sat together during lunch and the football players together both on tables close to each other.

One of our team mate was telling us of his experience in the club on Saturday and he is not underaged. He is the oldest amongst us but we all like his down your earth spirit.

I was looking around the restaurant and my eyes caught the now familiar green eyes and black hair. Someone was talking to her and she was smiling with the person. I focused my attention to their table and it was a guy sitting with them on their table.

I started staring. She looked up at me her smile fading then she looked back at the guy and continued smiling. I don't know how long I was staring but all I know is I heard snapping in my face and my best friend has been speaking to me since and I have no idea what he was talking about.

Earth to Henry he said.

Yeah Dylan. Could you say that again?

A lot of chuckles on the table and people followed my line of sight to see who I was staring at.

Why are you staring at the nerd? Philip one of our team mates asked.

She is getting hit on by our QB? Another one John asked.

No, I was lost in thought and she happened to be in line of sight I blurted stupidly.

Hmm Dylan hummed and looked back at her. Now all my team mates eyes were on her.

I looked at her again. She shuffled in her seat. Whispered something to Emma before leaving the cafeteria. I am sure she was aware of the stares from the table. Within a short amount of time That guy sitting with them and Emma left and lunch wasn't even over yet.

I sighed and looked at my lunch. I felt like leaving but the guys will think that I am going after the nerd so I ate my food.

We were going to classes after lunch and I saw that guy with Eva again. He was leaning casually on the locker while Eva changed her books. Her eyes met mine again. She shut her locker and she and the guy started walking towards her class.

I went to my class and to say I didn't even benefit from any class today I only thought about what I saw. So Eva talked to guys outside studying?  I am amazed.

As soon as school ended, I went our to see Darlene leaning on my car. Coach called in sick today so that means we can go home early today. As soon as she saw me she hugged the hell out of me. I hugged her back and pulled out of her grasp.

I searched the parking lot hoping to see the person that filled half of my thoughts today.

I saw her with Emma and that guy from the cafeteria. They were chatting as if they've known each other for as long as they can remember and I know for a fact that they just met today.

I see them enter Emma's car that means they are leaving. I jog towards them. I knock on the glass. Eva sits at the shot gun. She winds the window down.

Hey I say to her.

Hey? She said in more of a question.

I was thinking maybe you could give me some study notes so I can over it.

Okay she said opening her bag and bringing out a small note she handed it over to me with a small smile.

Will that be? all she asked

Yes.... No I said stammering.

Well what do you want?  She asked gently.

Nothing I said backing away from the car.

Henry ? she called when I turned to face her  she said give your girlfriend a hug she looks as if she drank a whole bottle of hot sauce with that the car drove away from the parking lot.

I looked at Darlene and she was fuming seriously. I went to her.

Let's go I said entering the car.

She entered too and put on her seat belt. Through out the drive she just sulked.

I pulled over in front of her house in a matter of minutes.

Thanks she mumbled coming out of the car.

I am coming in I tell her.

Her eyes shot up at me.  Why?

Well can't I spend time with my girlfriend?

Is that really it her? eyes were full of sparkles but her sparkles were nothing compared to Eva's. And now I am comparison what is wrong with you Henry?

Well I wanted to see the new console Dylan had that's why? I say.

She got all gloomy again. She came down and I followed her.

Come on babe we can do something before Dylan comes I say keeping in stride with her pace.

Emerald and Candice will soon be over no need to worry. I can find something to keep myself busy she snaps and turns on her heels towards her room.

And I am not allowed in her room. Her parents the Stone's don't allow their children entertain opposite sex in their rooms alone.

I hung around in the living room for thirty minutes then I called Dylan he said he wanted to take Emerald out.

Makes two disappointed people. I know she is really pissed now she won't talk to me.

What do I do on the remain one hour thirty minutes I have left? I stared at my phone who do I call? Dylan is my only friend as in best friend. I hang out with the rest of the team but just because it's tradition.

Maybe I can go see Eva. She said she worked at the filling office in the national library so that means I will see her there.

Without another word on get into my car and drives to the library to see of at least the nerd will hang out with me today because it seems my luck is out today.
