Such a Gentleman

Eva's POV

I lay on my bed and it's midnight since Henry left I haven't been able to get myself to sleep. He asked questions and I answered and honestly I don't know why I invited him inside.

He didn't make fun of me or take advantage of me instead he had been such a gentleman. He bought me food and told me my clothes were revealing. Although I caught him staring twice.

I know for a fact that he likes staring because I have seen him a lot of times even when I am tutoring him. Okay toss in bed and roll. I can't seem to know why I was awake all night.

When I woke up in the morning I was so tired that I wanted to go back to bed but Emma will be here in a matter of 30 minutes so I quickly freshen up and make coffee I decide to make it black so it can keep me awake all through the day.

Emma picked me up and without a fight I got into the back seat.

Hey Bennett said.

Hey I said forcing myself to stay awake.

You look like shit Emma said rolling her eyes. Why?

Are you asking me why i look like shit? I should ask you that because you said it not me. Why would you even say I look like shit? Is there any special way to look like shit?  Because you and Bennett also look like shit. I say babbling I guess lack of sleep brings out the talkative in me.

Did you sleep at all ? Emma asks me.

No I admitted falling back at the seat and closing my eyes.

Want to tell me why? She asked.

No I say yawning.

Okay she chuckled. Soon we were in school and I heard someone calling my name.

Wake up we are at school.

I stir and open my eyes. I go to the girls toilet to wash my face. Then I feel like peeing so I enter our e of the in toilets. I hear two girls walk in.

Candy can you believe Henry broke up with her? One girl ask.

I mean they were perfect together. Candy replied her.

I know, and she told me yesterday after they broke up that she thinks he is getting service from that nerd girl what is her name?

Eva Candy replied. I feel so sorry for Darlene I mean she is so heart broken but you know what, That nerd will also be heart broken when Henry dumps her also.

I don't think so, their relationship is service after all.  The other girl I am assuming to be Emerald says.

I hear their footsteps retreat and the toilet is empty. So Darlene is spreading rumors I am giving service to Henry that means she is calling me a slot, whore, a harlot. Why are girls so mean?

I need to locate Emma. I pull out my phone from the pocket of my jacket.
Emma girls toilet asap.
She texts me right back.
Be there soon.

I wait and I hear Emma enter. I sigh and hug her.

Is anything wrong she asks immediately.

Yes Emma everything is wrong. Henry broke up with Darlene-

So why are you sad? She asked holding my hands.

Well because Darlene is passing a rumor that I am doing service for Henry.

She gasp and clasps her mouth with her hand. What the hell?

I don't know, yesterday when he came to see me he told me he broke up with Darlene. I was happy he was free from her claws but I told him his ex will come back for me on the worst possible way and she has.

Eva, we all know you are a virgin so I want you to bravely go out find Henry and we can debunk the rumors okay?

No Emma I can't face them I muttered.

Well you have no option it's now or never she says holding me firmly as we step out.

As soon as I hit the hall way I can feel the glances and stares of people. I can hear the whispers. Emma holds me tight and then we get to Bennett he follows us because apparently the whole has heard. He gave me a small smile and walked at me other side giving everyone death glances.

We get to the cafeteria where Henry is with the team. Emma holds my hands and stomps over to the table. She stopped at their table and looks at them. They quiet down and wait for her to speak. She pulls me close.

Hey I hear Henry say. I don't look at him I look everywhere else except from him.

Why should we greet? Emma said fuming

Tell me Bryan have you not heard? Bennett asked him.

Heard what? He asked standing.

Oh yes typical, your ex spreads rumors and you hear last. Right? Emma asked raising and eyebrows.

Just tell me already Henry asked.

Have you received any service from Eva? Bennett asked trying to keep his cool.

Yes I mean she........ He trailed off to find the fuming faces of Emma and Bennett.

No I mean we had not kissed not to talk of having a make out session or sex he said.

Well then why will your ex and your sister she said pointing to Dylan be spreading such news? Emma said.

She is.........

Save it Henry, I finally speak up. I listened to you yesterday when you wanted to speak and today I am the talk of the school. I told you I wanted to lay low bit you didn't allow me did you.....tears were streaming from my eyes and my voice was going rough. I told I couldn't be friends with you but you kept coming back. Now please Henry I don't want to see you again please I beg you. Make this rumor go away and make someone else help you with your study. I can't help you again. With that said I left the cafeteria and headed straight to Emma's car.

Emma and Bennett were behind me.

Come on let's ditch school and go to my house Bennett suggested. I nodded and got into the car. We drove to Bennett house which he shares with his elder brother.

We sat in the living room. Bennett got me a blanket qnd put some chick flicks movies and came back with a big tub of ice cream.

I smiled a little when I saw him. I didn't just go through a heart break I say.

I know you feel like crying and ice-cream always helps. Emma nodded and took a spoon of my ice cream. Soon enough we are sharing the ice cream in silence.

Why is she so cruel? I finally ask.
