//Chapter 12!

~Matts POV~

•flashback to earlier•

I was outside my hotel room waiting for Carter to finish getting ready so we could go down and get something for Kin.

While I was waiting for him I was on Instagram and then I heard a door open. I looked up from my phone and noticed Kin was walking out of her room.

She glanced up at me and she had a nervous expression on her face. She didn't say anything to me and just kept walking down the hall way.

"Kinnley, Kinnley!" I called after her.

"Yes, Matt?" She said turning around.

"Uh, you look beautiful today."

I said and then began to blush.

"Awe thanks. I gotta go, I'll catch up with you later" She said while pulling out her phone, checking the time.

"Wait, where are you going this early? It's 8:30 in friggen morning." I said as I checked my phone for the time.

"Uh, uh, I-m, I'm going to the mall with Spencer. I seriously gotta go, I'm gonna be late." She said while booking it down the hall, giving me no time to answer.

That's weird she shares a room with Spencer, wouldn't she be with her?

Did she just lie to me?

I didn't take my eyes off of her. She reached the elevator and before stepping in, she looked back at me, sending me a 'I'm sorry but I have to' look. And got in and then away she went.

It's bothering me why she had to go so early. But maybe I'm worried about nothing.

I decided to head back to the hotel to find Carter walking outside the door.

"Ready man?" He said.

"Uh, yeah, let's go get some breakfast first tho! I'm starving!"

~Kins POV~

•at the mall•

By the time we reached the mall it was about 9:47 so the mall just opened.

It was fairly busy.

Spencer is vine famous so lots of people have been approaching her and saying hi and asking for pictures.

I can feel everyone's eyes fall on me.

I'm not vine famous, and I'm not beautiful, like Spencer. I have lots of scars from the incident and lots if bandages, I have stitches. I know people are judging me, I can hear everything they are saying.

Surrounding me, throwing their comments in my face.

"Why is it, with the Spencer Brown."

"What's up with all the cuts, scars, bandages?"

"She isn't beautiful."

"She doesn't deserve to be with Spencer."

"She must think she's good enough."

They all snickered.

For this exact reason is why I'm homeschooled.

Tears began to roll down my face.

I'm insecure, unhappy with myself and depressed.

Spencer deserves the world. I can't be the one slowing her down.

Tears are now streaming down my eyes.

"Why are you all judging her? She's an amazing person and she doesn't deserve your rude comments. You don't know half the shit she's been through so you have no right to talk to her like that." She stood up to them and then taking my hand and running off to the bathroom.

Once we got there she checked to see if anyone was in there. Thankfully there wasn't.

She ran over to me and tackled me into a hug.

I lost it, and began sobbing harder and harder.

"Kin, love, don't listen to them okay. They are just jealous. Your beautiful, and I'm glad I can call you my best friend. They have no right to say any of that shit to you. Just don't take it personally okay." She whispered in my ear.

"Thanks, love. But I'm more glad to call you my best friend. No one else gets me like you do. You have no idea how much that means to me. But at the same time I feel like I'm slowing you down." I whispered back.

"No, no, no. Your not slowing me down! Even though I've only known you for about 2 days, you've changed my view on life, I'm so lucky to have someone like you in my life." She said back.

Now the tears are really streaming.

"I'm so lucky to have you. You've shown me how to appreciate life." I said back.

"I love you, bff." She said.

"I love you too, bff." I said back.

We let go each other and I walked over to the mirror to fix my makeup.

After that we decided to go back shopping for a bit, get something to eat as then head back to the hotel.
