The Purple Paladin ~Lance vs Keith x Reader~

Chapter 7

Y/N P.O.V~

I just stood there, trying to process everything. It was too much. Both Keith and Lance because they really care about me. But it was wrong for them to fight. I don't know what to feel, what to say, what to do.

"Can you all give me some time?" I asked, everyone nodded and starting walking out of the room "Except for Lance and Keith, we need to talk!" I said sternly 

We all sat down and both the boys didn't make eye contact at all.

"Just why?" I asked softly

"Y/N, I care about you. Ever since I first saw you, since I first talked to you, I've just been distracted." Both him and I blushed and Keith let out a sigh "My mind was just overflowing with emotions and I couldn't contain it. I-I-I had to let it out." Lance said trying to not start crying.

Keith looked up at me as I held both his and Lance's hand. 

"Y-Y/N,  I--" I cut Keith off

"No need, I already know." I smiled

"Keith, I'm sorry," Lance said

"Lance, I'm sorry too," Keith replied

"Awwww. Come here you two." I said as I embraced them both in a hug.

We all hugged for a bit until we were stopped by alarms and flashing red lights.

"What's happening?" Keith asked as everyone ran back into the main room

"Coran, Allura. What going on?" Lance asked

"Sendak's ship has been seen around Arus's atmosphere," Allura replied

"Oh, Quiznack!" Coran and Allura shouted as everyone looked at him confused

"What?" Pidge questioned

"Keith, we found the red lion!" Allura exclaimed 

"Where is it?" Keith asked

Coran looked at the map and all the colour in his face just disappeared "On Sendak's Ship." He replied.

"Oh." Everyone sighed 

"We need to formulate a plan, and quickly." I panicked "But first, were all of you behind the door?" I asked

Everyone nodded except for Keith and Lance, we just let out a long sigh.

"So you forgive them?" I ask

Everyone nodded again

"Ok, ok, ok, okay yay." Hunk said as he paced around the room

"I got it." Shiro declared "They know that we have the Blue and Yellow lions but they don't know that we have the Purple and Green."

"So, we have an advantage." I said excitedly "I see where you're going with this plan Shiro!"

"Care to share," Lance asked

"Okay, so we go in just with the Blue and Yellow lions, pretending that we're surrendering them and then, BOOM the Green and Purple start shooting everything in their path!" I replied

"Not exactly, but close enough." Shiro laughed 

"Keith because you don't have your lion yet you'll come in with Y/N and Shiro will go with me," Pidge said 

"Why?" I asked

"The Purple and Green Lions are almost as fast as the Red" Allura replied

We got into space and everyone was doing what there meant to, Hunk and Lance are creating a diversion while Pidge and I sneak Shiro and Keith into the ship. We got to our positions and gave the signal for Hunk and Lance to begin attacking. All four of us got out of the lions and waited as Pidge and Shiro cut a hole in the ship big enough for us to climb into. 

As soon as we got inside, Shiro started to freeze.

"Shiro?" I called his name as I put my hand on his shoulder

"I-I've been here before." he stuttered 

"What do you mean?" Keith asked

"I was brought here when I got captured." He replied and Pidge eyes widened

"I have to find my family," Pidge commented

"What?" All of us asked

"Sam Holt is my Father and Matt Holt is my Brother, they were brought here with you Shiro and I need to find them." She replied

"I'll go with you, I know this ship better than anyone else here." Shiro included

"What about us?" Keith asked

"You'll feel the lion, just like everyone else did. Y/N go with him." he replied, "Oh and Keith, remember patience yields focus." 

We separated in different directions, Keith and I both got our swords ready.

We ran around for what seemed like hours but in fact, we're only a couple of minutes.

"Can you feel it?" I asked Keith while panting

"I don't know," he replied as he took a deep breath 

"Let's take a little break," I said

"Patience yields focus" Keith whispered with his eyes closed

"How's that working out fo--" I was cut off by Keith grabbing me "C'mon! Let me breathe"

He chuckled "I know where it is." He replied

"Oh!" I said as we sprinted to the lions 'location'.

We found the lion, it wasn't actually that far from where we started. The lion was incased in a coral-like coloured forcefield, the lion was slightly bigger than mine but smaller than Lance's.

"Hi, Red." Keith said as he touched the barrier "Its Keith, your buddy/paladin."

I laughed. "Keith, remember you have to earn its trust, show that you're worthy of i--"

I was cut off by Galra soldier shooting at us. One was able to shoot me but it barely hurt compared to the one the other day.

"Y/N!" He shouted

"I'm fine, just worry about proving yourself to the lion. Not me!" I shouted back as I got my shield out. I was able to deflect many shots and take down many of the soldiers, but they just kept on coming. 

"C'MON!" Keith shouted at the lion

His voice made me laugh, but it caught me off guard and I got hit on the back of the head and thrown across the room. Everything went blurry but I stayed conscious.

"Y/N!" I heard Keith yell as I heard him take down many of the soldiers. He managed to dodge his way over to me and I got my vision back. 

"Hold on!" He said as he held out his hand. I took it and smiled. We ran to the control panel, opening the ship, making the soldiers fly out. It was too powerful and the force pulled basically every object out of the room. We floated there for a second before the Red Lion started to operate and 'ate' Keith, I floated there a bit concerned until my lion did the same...
