Chapter 8

A/N- I'm so sorry for not updating any sooner, I was so caught up in assessments that I didn't have time to be able to write. Again I'm sorry and I hope you enjoy this chapter.

I got into my seat and took a deep breath. I turned the communicator on in the lion so that I could see and hear only Keith.

"Keith, are you ok?" I asked through the communicator

"Yeah, are you?" He replied

"Did you know they could do that?" I ask

"No, I didn't. How did I prove myself to it?" He asked

"Maybe when you avenged me after I took that hit," I said

"Maybe." He replied

"Thank You." I smiled sweetly as he blushed 

"Anytime." He smiled happily

"Y/N, Keith. Have you got the Red Lion?" Hunk asked as he panted "I damaged the ion cannon, It shouldn't be operational for a while."

"Yes, we do." Keith and I both said

"Pidge, Shiro?" I call their names

"Kitty Rose has left the stage!" Pidge chirped enthusiastically 

"Let's Get out of here then," Lance replied

We all quickly flew off back to Arus to get the Black Lion functional, leaving the Galra ship above the planet. We sped to the Black Lions hangar and sat in front of two massive doors. Shiro stood silently in front of the doors before all the lions' eyes glowed and the doors opened before us. A rush of anxiety ran through me as the doors opened slowly. The lion was massive, it was bigger than even Hunks. We all stood and sat there amazed and glorified. The lion roared, which resulted in the Blue, Purple, Red, Green and Yellow to rise and roar back. We all were stunned.

Shortly after the alarms started to go off, again. 

"SENDAK IS ENTERING THE ARUSIAN ATMOSPHERE, WE NEED VOLTRON NOW." We heard Allura yell

Shiro got into the Black Lion and we all flew out of the hangar. We exited the castle and were welcomed by a plethora of Galran ships. They were all shooting at the castle, but luckily the particle barrier was up and keeping those within 'safe'.

Keeping 'safe' didn't last long. The ion cannon that Hunk damaged was back online and shot the castle. We felt the ground rumble below us as we groaned. 

"THE CASTLE GETS WEAKER AFTER EVERY BLAST!" Coran yelled

"I CAN GIVE YOU COVER WITH THE CASTLES DEFENCES FOR A WHILE, BUT YOU HAVE TO FORM VOLTRON NOW!" Allura yelled to us "OR WE ALL WILL BE DESTROYED!"

"Jeez, No pressure." Hunk said as the ion cannon hit the castle's barrier once again and we all groaned once more

"Listen up Team Voltron, The only way to succeed is to give it all you got. This looks bad, but we can do this." Shiro paused "Are you with me?" He asked

I nodded thinking that everyone else is too.

"I'm nodding. Is anyone else nodding?" Hunk asked

"Yes." We all replied in unison

"Let's do this!" I said as the lions started to run out of the barriers range of protection. 

"How?" Lance asked

"Good Question." Keith said "Does anyone have any ideas on how to form Voltron?" He asked 

"I don't see a 'combine into a giant robot' button anywhere on my lions dashboard." Hunk said as we all jumped off a hill. Explosions were going off everywhere.
