The Purple Paladin ~Lance vs Keith x Reader~

Chapter 6

It had been 4 days and I still blamed her pain and suffering on myself. She got hurt to save me. Tears started rolling down. 'It's all my fault' I kept repeating to myself. I took a deep breath, got up and checked on Y/N. 

"Keith, are you ok? Shiro asked

"I'm fine," I say forcing feeling into my voice

"You don't look or sound fine," he said with worry

"I just want to clear my head," I reply as he nods and I walk to the training deck and started the gladiator.

I had been training for at least 2 hours, I think I'm on level 15. I was about to stab the gladiator with all my strength, but before I could, the gladiator was shut down by none other than Lance. He glared at me with pure rage in his eyes.

"Lance?" I ask

No Response

"Lance, If you have something to say then say it!" 

He chuckled "You're weak, don't you know that drop out!" He grabbed a sword from one of the shelves "You let her get hurt! I could've protected her" He pointed the sword accusingly at me.

"Lance..." Is all that could come out before he lunged himself towards me. I couldn't react in time and he cut me. I winced in pain as I kicked him in the stomach. "Lance, we both care for her dearly, but she wouldn't want us fighting," I said before he got up and spat out blood on the floor.

"She'll never love a small, weak dropout like you." He mocked

Pain surged through me before tears started to fall. I flung myself towards him with my sword. We fought for ages, both of us covered in cuts and bruises. 

"You know what." I said "You care too much, this is going to kill you one day. Now fight me like a man." I threw my sword across the room and so did Lance. We looked at each other, blood dripping from my lip and Lance had a cut on his cheek which was also bleeding. We walked towards the middle of the room. Lance went for a punch, but I ducked and kicked his legs making him fall over on his back. As I was about to kick Lance, he rolled over and kicked me to the ground. He got on top of me and tried to choke me, from my position, I also did the same.

Y/N's P.O.V~

I opened my eyes and I could tell that I was in one of the castles healing pods, I couldn't feel anything until the glass in front of me disappeared and I fell towards the ground. Luckily, I was caught by none other than my one and only Space Dad. (:3)

"Shiro?" I ask, my vision a little blurry

"It's me." 

"Where's Keith, is he alright?" 

"He's in the training area, he's fine." 

"Can I see him?"

"Sure," he replies and gives me a hand to help me up, I gladly take it.

We walked towards the training room, my side slightly hurting.

"You really got shot, like seriously. What gun did that guy use on--" he said

"I don't know, but how long was I out for?" I ask cutting him off

"About 4 days," he replied

"Has Sendak attacked yet?" I asked

"Not yet," he said as we got to the training room, the doors opened and my heart just stopped.

Lance's P.O.V~

Before I was about to blackout, the Training rooms doors opened showing the most important person to me, she was just standing there staring in shock with Shiro.

"Y/N?" I said as I got off of Keith "It's not what it looks like."

"And what does it look like?" She paused, tears started to drop down her cheeks "The two people I care about the most fighting each other, covered in bruises and scratches." She said softly

"Y/N?" I said her name softly as I walked towards her with my arm out.

"DON'T TOUCH ME!" She shouted as she glared at me

"What happened here?" Shiro growled as Allura, Pidge, Hunk and Coran ran into the room with worry and fear painted all over their faces as they looked at Y/N, Keith and I.

"Yeah, Lance! What happened here?" Keith shouted as he rubbed his throat.

"I-I can explain." I said as I looked towards the ground with pain 'What did I just do?' I asked myself as I looked at Y/N being comforted by Allura.

"I can do it for you," Keith said as he got up 

"No need." Coran said as he walked out of the training room "Follow me." 

We walked into the main room of the castle, Coran showed us the surveillance from the training room and everyone was shocked.
