Taylor had fallen asleep as soon as her head hit the pillow, and she didn't wake up until the next evening when the pack was heading out on their evening patrols. Taylor watched from her window as Beta and Delta took two different patrols out- Beta going North and Delta going South.
It was the same pattern every morning and night; One patrol goes North while the other goes South. North would run East along the boarder before getting to the South end, and South would run West before getting to the North end. Then, they would all run home and do whatever else the Alpha needed them to do.
After Taylor watched the two groups take off, she decided she should at least try and do something helpful for the pack today. She felt much better already. After washing her face and putting her hair in a braid, she walked downstairs and into the kitchen, stopping when she saw Alpha leaning against the kitchen counter. He was drinking a glass of ice water, and he seemed deep in thought. That was until, Taylor walked in. His green eyes instantly snapped up to meet her blue ones, and he raised an eyebrow.
"You should be resting." His voice told Taylor that he wasn't in a good mood. It must have been a rough day for him. She couldn't help but bite her lip.
"I feel better." Her voice was quiet as she replied respectively to her Alpha.
"You may feel better, but that doesn't mean I am un-exempting you from pack duties." Taylor swore he could read her thoughts. "Go back up and get some rest."
Taylor stared at him. She really did feel better. She wanted to be of service to him.
How could she get him to let her stay up without seeming disrespectful?
A bargain.
"I will go rest, but only if you'll...." She thought for a moment, and replied when she got an unexpected confidence boost. "Come cuddle with me." She said the first thing that came to her head that he would most likely never do. She smirked inwardly when he looked at her shocked.
They stood staring at each other for what felt like hours before Alpha sighed.
"Fine."
It was Taylor's turn to be taken aback.
"What?"
"Fine. I will cuddle with you if it means you will rest."
Taylor couldn't believe her ears. This was not her Alpha. It couldn't be. He hated physical contact.
"Alpha, I was joking." She tried to reason, but it only gave her a large smirk from the male.
"Don't back out now. Once you commit, you don't back out." His voice was playful and she couldn't help but blush. She looked down to hide her red cheeks.
"Fine." She rolled her eyes playfully and started walking up the stairs to her room. She heard her Alpha put his glass in the sink before moving quickly to catch up to her. He caught her wrist right before she walked into her room.
"Let's go to my room. I have a nicer bed- no offense." The Alpha's voice gave her chills. Who was this man and what happened to her Alpha? He was being so sweet to her... and she liked it. It was a new feeling to have someone be nice to her. She was liking every moment of it.
She let the 18 year old drag her to his room. Once inside, she gasped.
It was very large. A king size bed sat in the far corner of the room with a large dresser beside it. A very spacious walk in closet was on the opposite side of the room, and a bathroom was next to the closet. The walls were a dark grey, but it was a welcoming color.
