The crunching of twigs and leaves snapped Luke out of his guilty trance, his head popping up to look to his right where the sound originated from. Taylor's pack had found them.

They loped up to the pair proudly; their heads high and ears forward, showing their confusion through their stances as they slowed and took their standing positions to the right of the rogue. The large grey Beta wolf looks from his Alpha to the rogue, letting out a low growl when he sees the black wolf.

Why are you conversing with him? He asks his Alpha with a stern voice, a little too stern for his Alpha's liking. She sends him a warning growl and gives him a cold glare.

Because I need information. Anything else you need to know, Austin- or should I say, mother? She retorts snippily, and Luke can't help but smirk at the Beta in his mind. The Beta- Austin, just lowers his head at his Alpha and narrows his eyes at the rogue.

Whats your name? A new female voice enters Luke's head, and he looks over to see a golden/white female looking at him with peculiar gold eyes. He decides now is as good as ever to throw in an ice breaker.

Neville Longbottom. And yours? He says casually, which causes the female to scoff and roll her eyes. The white wolf next to her snorts and shakes his head.

I'm Cole and this is my sister Sierra. The white wolf speaks for his sister. Sierra narrows her eyes at her brother.

I can tell him who I am, I am a big girl! AND, we don't know if we can trust him. He DID invade our territory. She gives Luke a knowing glance. He winces, about to reply when his mate answers instead.

We can trust him. Her voice is soft yet authoritative as she looks to her mate with big blue eyes. Luke instantly feels the guilt crawling back into his system.

Just why did he have to lie?

I don't mean to sound rude, Alpha, but how do you know? How do you know we can trust him when he won't even tell us his real name? A deep masculine voice comes from the insanely muscular dark brown wolf next to Austin. Taylor looks to the wolf and yips.

His name is Luke Bryson. He left his pack because they were too cruel and demanding for his liking. She spoke with such a smooth as honey voice that it made Luke feel weak in the knees. She was utter perfection.

He's your mate.

The rogue's head snaps in the direction of the new masculine voice, his eyes landing on a grey/brown wolf beside a black/grey wolf. The wolf is looking at Luke with an intense golden stare that made Luke's muscles tense with anxiety.

Wait, what? Dante, where do you even get that idea? Cole looks at the wolf who has a lock-down stare on the Alpha's mate.

Okay wait... So there is Cole, Sierra, Austin, Dante... who are the other two?

Can you not sense it? Can you not SEE it? Dante looks at his pack mates before sighing. The way he looks at her- like she's the world and he's trying to figure out how to keep it in the palm of his hand. How Taylor is completely relaxed and calm even though he trespassed in our territory. This made the pack growl again, but the Alpha silenced them with a sharp snap of her teeth. Dante uses this as an example. The way she is already protective. As is he. See how he is standing? Tense and on edge, ready to rip apart who ever gets close to her?

Dante had a point. Luke was standing a bit weird. His muscles were tense, ready to lunge at any given moment. Luke realizes this and quickly forces himself to relax.
