**3 years later**

Taylor's P.O.V

"C'mon now! I know you know the moves! You just have to apply yourself!" I yell to the dark brown wolf in front of me. He growls and narrows his eyes at me. I narrow my eyes right back at him and place my hands on my hips. "Don't look at me with that attitude, Justin! You know I am right." The wolf rolls his eyes and turns back to his training partner, a white male by the name of Cole, who gives him a wolf smirk. "Go again!"

Justin growls at Cole's smirk and begins to circle the white wolf. Cole just stands and watches his Beta circle him. I sigh and rub my face, about to tell them to hurry up when Cole makes a move- finally.

He moves quick and in a flash clamps his jaws around Justin's throat. The force is enough to send Justin to his back, Cole on top of him to keep him pinned down. Cole forgot one significant thing- Justin's legs were still free. Justin realizes his opponents mistake and quickly kicks all four legs against Cole's chest with great force, sending Cole flying off him. The Beta is up in an instant, looking at Cole. The white wolf landed skillfully on his paws, staring at the brown wolf with a smug look. Justin barks out in annoyance, causing me to giggle.

"Don't let it get to your head, Justin. Cole is one of a kind. I doubt you will come across any other wolf like him in a fight." I try to give him some comforting words, but he only glares at me. I sigh and walk to him to give him a pat on the shoulder. "You're an amazing defender. Cole is an amazing attacker. That is why I paired you two together for training."

My phone goes off in my pocket then. I take it out and see a text from my mom.

Don't forget about your promise to your brother.

"Shit."

The two wolves look at me with perked up ears. I sigh.

"It's my brother's birthday and I promised to take him to a trampoline park. I gotta go." I text my mom a reply before putting my phone away and looking at my Beta. "Tell the pack that training is over, then split them up for patrols. After you're done with your patrols, you can head home." He nods and runs off, leaving me and Cole.

I turn and walk into the house, Cole following me until he gets to the stairs. He steps onto the deck he lets himself phase back into his human form. Once he is on two legs, he shakes his head and rubs his face.

"That was a hardcore training session, Alpha. I'm going to be sore tomorrow." He chuckles as he runs his fingers through his dirty blonde hair. I chuckle.

"Good. That means you worked hard." I grab my car keys and jacket before turning to him. "You did very well today." I compliment.

He blushes and looks down. "Thanks, Alpha." I smirk and walk to the door.

"Hey!"

I stop and turn at the voice of my Delta, Austin. "Yes?"

He smiles, his blue eyes twinkling as he fixes his messy black hair. "Tell Chris I said Happy Birthday."

I chuckle. "Will do." I smile and walk out the door.

"See you tomorrow!"

The moment I walk into my parent's home I am attacked by my 10 year old brother.

"Tay! Are we still going to the trampoline park?! Are we?!" He asks excitedly, clinging to my leg. I let out a laugh.

"Of course! Let me go get changed real quick, then we will go." I tell him, and he squeals before running off. I shake my head fondly and walk into the kitchen where I find my mom.

"Chris hasn't stopped talking about the trampoline park since he woke up." She looks at me with an amused look as I sit on one of the stools at the bar.

"Oh the horror." I snort, grabbing a biscuit off the plate in the middle of the bar. My mom laughs, her perfect smile showing.

My mom is literally an older version of me. She has the same blonde hair that I have, the same green eyes, and the same smile. You can certainly tell we are related.

As for my dad, he has dark brown hair instead of blonde. He's very tall and muscular, beings he is the one I got my wolf genes from. He was Alpha of a pack in his younger years before he became a part of the wolf Council. As of right now, he's at a council meeting and won't be home for a week.

"Your dad tells me that you have been having troubles with rogues?" She asks right as I take a bite of biscuit, giving me a worried look out the corner of her eye. I chew slowly and nod, taking my time swallowing before answering.

"Yeah. There is a group of at least 4 rogues in the territory now. Have been for about 2 weeks. We're trying to drive them out, but they are pretty sneaky." I say grimly. She looks at me worried.

"As long as you're being safe."

That's the thing about my mom. She knows us wolves could kill anything easily, but she still worries herself crazy over us. I give her a reassuring smile.

"We always are." I finish my biscuit and stand up, kissing her cheek before walking upstairs to my room to get ready.

"Chris! No flips!"

My brother just looks at me from where he is on the big trampoline before smirking and doing another front flip. I let out a low growl. Damn was this kid something else.

He was just like me. Stubborn and daring.

I decide to give up trying to make him stop and just watch him closely from the tables that are across the room from the big trampolines. He was having fun with other kids his age, bouncing around and, yes, doing flips. He seemed so carefree at this moment in time. So full of life.

Alpha! I clearly hear Justin's voice enter my head. Those 4 rogues ambushed Austin's patrol. Cole got hurt.

I instantly took my eyes off Chris and stared at a wall. The blood drained from my face as I forgot how to breathe, my breath hitching n my throat. The rogues HAD to attack while I was away? I was a terrible Alpha.

How badly is he hurt? I ask him in the mind link. He quickly responds.

A pretty bad gash in his shoulder and a deep bite to the flank.... He was protecting Sierra and took on 2 rogues at once.

I suddenly felt sick. I left my pack all alone when 4 untamed rogues were in the area. Chris had wandered over to me when he noticed my worried expression.

"Tay? Everything okay?" He asks quietly, looking at me warily. I keep my eyes trained to the wall.

"We are going home."

I hope it isn't TOO fast paced. But hey, we're finally in Taylor's everyday life!

Hope you enjoyed!
