🚩BEFORE YOU READ!
I would like everyone to take heed that this book does NOT fully focus on romance but is a mixture of its own set of genres. SO please do not expect that the main characters will be up at each other's faces almost IMMEDIATELY as the such characters too have their own plates to handle.

The characters are NOT perfect as they too have their own flaws— just like us :) Some characters in this book have suffered their own traumas so do understand if they aren't always happy and express their emotions more than their words and may execute some irrational actions.

I, the author, WILL TAKE constructive criticism and WILL HOPE TO HANDLE the negative comments you may have and i may respond to such with modesty but just don't like get too carried away because ya— I have feelings too. I request for you, the reader, to not bottle up the emotions deep within you and comment away!

Happy Reading!

Chapter 1: The Beginning

" "Your child is Moon-kissed, protect her before they come." "

Sapphire's head started to feel heavy the moment she read that small passage. She felt like her head was going to detach from her neck. Is this a migraine? She thought, taking a sip of the water prepared for her.

" "M- Moon- kissed?" Elora, the queen of the Couvreux royal Family, stuttered with her words. It was an unusual response from the Queen as she was a gallant woman. But she had to be nervous, Elora knew what Moon-kissed meant. "

Sapphire laughed, Another coincidence? First, the book was entitled Sapphire and now, Elora, her mother, was in the book.

" Lucian, the king, stiffened as he felt the aching of his wife's heart. He slowly placed both his hands on her shoulders, her quivering shoulders worried him. "

Now, Sapphire was suspicious. Her father too was in the book. Who was next? Shay?

" The unknown woman pulled her hood further down, her pale lips left visible. The woman turned around and started to walk away. She then glanced at the royal couple one more time, "Please— protect her." The Queen gently pushed her child closer as a response to those words.

"Mama, Who is she? She looks peculiar," Two-year old Sapphire asked, curiosity evident in her voice as she watched the anonymous woman walk out of the large doors. Her parents looked at each other, hesitant. Should they tell her the truth? "

Sapphire scoffed, What the heck? She wanted to return it to where she had found it. But, the suspense!

She took a deep breath, was she going to continue? Of course! The suspense is killing you. Her inner voice answered immediately.

She wondered regarding the novel's thickness. Maybe she couldn't finish it in one sitting as the book was as thick as her own palm. With that thought, Sapphire decided to skip to the last page. She knew it was cheating but meh.

She used her thumb to preserve the current page and flipped to the last bit. She furrowed her brows, confused at what she had just read.

" Regret. "

She shook her head in disbelief, looking at the page once again.

" Peace. "
