A Human Turn to Shinigami

Light's POV

'I lost.. Ahahaha.. I lost...

Never in my life, once, I lost..

Since meeting L.. Everyday is fun.. not boring like the usual..'

I sigh, I trying to feel my body, it won't move. 'I really died, didn't I..?

Ryuk.. It seems.. What you told me in our first encounter is true.. No happiness could be achieve when one meet a Shinigami.. and using that notebook..'

'Cold... And dark.. Is this what nothingness feels like..? Seems boring..'

"Oi, you." An unknown voice could be heard,

'Who? L..?'

"Wake up, don't be lazy will you."

'Wake up? But.. I'm dead..' Just then, I could feel my legs, arms and my body, 'Eh..?'

I try to open my eyes, slowly they open.

What infront of me is a unknown figure, definitely not human.

I blink several time to adjust the light, thinking that what I saw just now is a hallucination,

"Oi, where did you came from? Never in my lifetime meet you. A newcomer?"

"GAH!!! What the heck are you!!! S- Stay away from me..!!" I scream, trying to back away but my legs have given out cuz of tiredness, I shiver in fear.

"Huh? What happened to you dude?" The figure ask,

I try to calm down, "Y.. you.. Where am I? Aren't I suppossed to be dead..?!" I demand an answer from the unknown figure, the thing looks confuse,

"In a Shinigami Realm, duh! Did you lose your memory or something? Maa nee, Where did you came from? I don't know you." answer the thing,

"Huh? Shinigami Realm? Aren't I suppossed to be in the nothingness like what Ryuk said?!"

"Nothingness? Ryuk? Ahahaha, that guy made a joke to you! He probably says that this place is rotten, implying to nothingness. Maa nee, So? Where's Ryuk? You're his friend or something? Hah, that guy could make friends. Surprise."

"Uh.. So.. you're a Shinigami?"

"Well duh, what do I look like? Human? You're too, a Shinigami."

"SHINIGAMI? ME? WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT. I'M A HUMA--" Now I realise that something is wrong with my body, it feels lighter and stronger, I look down to my hands, 'What?!' I look at my arm and legs, "WHAT IS THIS-- WHY AM I--!"

"Ahahahaha, Light-o~! You're here, souka~!" A familiar voice enter the conversation,

"Ryuk?!" I see Ryuk flying towards us, he lands on the ground infront of me,

"Where.. Where am I? What happened to me?!" I demand an answer from Ryuk, he seems lazy,

"Well.. Uh.. AH! How troublesome! You turned into a Shinigami, Light-o."

"A WHAT?!"

"Shinigami. S-H-I-N-I-G-A-M-I."

I'm confused. Like, really really confused.

"How--!"

"I write your name in my Death Note. Didn't I tell you that the human who uses the Death Note won't go neither to Hell nor Heaven. Well, You're here. In a Shinigami Realm." Ryuk says while taking a black like rotten fruit out of nowhere, "Apples?" He says while munching one,

"Oi, Ryuk. Who is this? A newcomer?" the other Shinigami asks,

"Ah, Sidoh! He's Yagami Light! The boy who wanted to become God in the human world. Hora yo, the guy you've meet at least one or two!"

"Ah.. That handsome bruenette.. Oh he turns into a Shinigami, eh?" Sidoh reply,

'Sidoh?' "You're.. the Shinigami whose Death Note is taken by Ryuk.. aren't you?" I ask,

"Yeah, I am. So does this means a new timeline, Ryuk?" Sidoh ask,

"Saa nee"

"What timeline?"

"Well, Yagami Light." A new voice enters the conversation, I look to the side,

"Who?"

"Ah, Daio!" greet Ryuk and Sidoh,

"Daio? King?"

"Yes I am, Yagami Light. I should call you Light from now on, you may call me Daio."

"Uh..."

"Once a human born into shinigami, a new timeline is made."

"Ah right, what's that? Ryuk and Sidoh keep saying it.. not that I care."

'I care really, Timeline means a new time. Means a parallel, I learn much. I.. How do I say it.. kinda feel wrong about all of what I had done.. I wish that.. I could make it better..'

"Light, I know you know what it means. A rewind of time. Means to start over. All that's dead will still be alive." This gain my attention, I listen closely,

"No, it is not reviving the dead. Its like what had all happened, didn't happened. A history, but not also true." Daio say,

"So? Why are you telling me this?" I acted like I don't care much,

Ryuk and Sidoh are laughing their Shinigami laugh,

"Since you're a shinigami."

"Like them?"

"No. You're not. You're different."

"I'm different?"

"Yes, You are more ruthless than all the Shinigami in here, you could even par with mine. You also killed more humans than the others, even myself."

"Heh, that just tells that Humans are ruthless." I say while lazily kick a pebble nearby,

"And that just tells that you are a Prince."

"A what?" This stop my action,

"Prince. Prince of Death, Shinigami, whatever you called it."

"Me? A prince?"

"KUHUHUHU, Light-o a prince KUHUHUHHU!" Ryuk laughs,

Ignore him.

"Yes, and I would like you to judge the human again."

"Eh?"

"No, not like how 'Kira' works. Like a 'Shinigami' works. Kill the corrupt ones, the ones that are no longer needed in the human world. No, not criminals, but a human who could bring danger and harm to the world."

"Kira.." I muttered,

"Kira is famous in here, as a ruthless kiiller." Sidoh say, "Of course, we, Shinigami, know him. As in.. you." He points at me,

I look at him, then Ryuk, Ryuk nods, I look back at Daio.

'Since you're a Shinigami, and no longer Kira, a new Kira will definitely born and replace you."

"Replace me?"

"Yes. Ryuk will be the one whose notebook is with this new Kira, you're free to do whatever you want in the Human world."

"A new Kira... Wait, doesn't that mean that the new Kira will do as what I've done?!"

"Probably. Who knows."

I sigh in defeat, "Alright, so when will the time be reset?"

"Uh.. Now. Yeah. Don't worry, 's memoryShinigami can't be wiped out, the humans can. You'll still remember us, and so do we. Take care."

Thus, blackness cover everything.
