Someone's POV

"Doctor! The patient is awake!"

"W-what?! Call his family, I'll go check on him."

"Understood."

Light's POV

"ngh.." I slowly open my eyes, ' Too bright..!' I close my eyes again, just then I hear a footstep approaching,

'Who?'

I could hear the door is being opened, I try to open my eyes again to see the intruder, "Have you awaken, Yagami-san?"

"Eh.. uh.. yea. May I ask who are you?" I said in a hoarse voice, 'What's wrong with my voice?!'

"I'm a doctor, the one who are appointed to treat you. How do you feel?" The doctor ask while taking a sit near the bed, I look at him,

"I feel.. tired?"

"No wonder, You've been in coma for almost a year," 'What?!'

"Did you feel something like a memory loss?"

"Um.. No.. I think."

"Well, may I ask some question whether you remember?"

"Do so.."

"What's your name?"

"Yagami Light."

"Do you have a sibling?"

"Yes, a little sister, Sayu."

"Do you remember who your parents are?"

"Yes, its--" Before I manage to answer, a knock could be heard,

A group of people enter the room, I recognise some, its my Mother, Father and Sayu.

"Mom.. Dad.." I say,

"Onii-chan!!" Sayu came and hug me, crying.

'?' "What happened to me..?" I ask, because its not an everyday scene to see Sayu and my parents to burst into tears,

"You don't remembered what had happened?" The doctor asked, I shook my head,

"Well.." "No, it's probably better if Light don't know about this." Father interrupt,

"Eh? Why?!" Sayu ask in astonishment,

"Its better if Light don't know about this." Mother say,

"But.."

"Sayu." Sayu look down, afraid of being scolded.

I pat Sayu's head to assure her, "What happened to me, Dad?" I ask, sternly.

"Its nothing. You just feel down the stairs. That's all." Lies. Fell down the stairs won't leave a human to be in coma for almost a year, but I don't pry since I'm tired,

Soon, I feel asleep.

The doctor probably told my family to leave me be for the time being for me to be able to rest because the next time I opened my eyes, no one is presence.

"A dream.. huh?" I said to myself, I feel something is under the pillow where my head is rested, I look at it, a Death Note. 'Not a dream then.'

I held it in my hands, 'Now.. what should I do?' I look at the windows picturing outside,

'Rest.. I guess. A new Kira will be born, I'll just be either watching from the sideline or in one of the sides.' Soon I engulf into another sleep.
