氷室 辰也 (Himuro Tatsuya)
Yasu was in the living room going through some travel books and brochures she had borrowed from the public library on the previous day. Though she grew up in Tokyo, she felt that she hadn't seen much of the rest of it because she was busy preparing herself for the mini basketball tournaments and helping her teammates in their own tournaments. Since it was the start of the Winter vacation, she thought it would be a good opportunity to explore more of the prefecture.
'There are actually a lot of things to do in Tokyo.' she noted when going through the travel brochures. She opened the map of Tokyo to check out the locations while referring to the travel book, and realised that there were three hidden spots that weren't mentioned in the book. "Yanaka, Sendagi, and Nezu." she read the names out loud. "Maybe I should check them out instead of going to the big city."
After writing down some notes on her notepad, Yasu changed into her casual clothes before leaving the house with her notepad and belongings. She walked for a few minutes to arrive at the local bus stop where she would board the bus to Nippori Station. Once she arrived there, she took another five-minute walk to arrive at Yanaka Ginza Street.
'It already feels really local and residential the minute I get out of the station.' she noted while taking in the atmosphere around her. She abruptly stopped when she recognised a familiar face, and blinked a few times to make sure she was seeing the right person. 'Isn't that Himuro-senpai? What is he doing here?' Curiosity got the best of her, and she began making her way towards the tall boy, who was looking at a map. "Himuro-senpai?" she called.
The said boy turned to look at her, and his face lit up to see a familiar face among the small crowd. "Hello, Yasu." he greeted.
"Not to sound offensive, but why are you here?" she asked. "Akita is really far from here."
Himuro gave her a sheepish smile, and kept away the map. "I thought of exploring more of Tokyo since I've already done that in Akita." he said before heaving a sigh. "I was supposed to come here with Atsushi, but he backed off at the last minute, saying things like "it's too troublesome". So I'm here alone."
"That's Murasakibara." deadpanned Yasu with a sweat drop on the back of her head.
"What about you?" he asked.
"Well, I was bored and decided to explore a little bit more of Tokyo without bumping into a lot of tourists." she replied. She took a few second to think, and smiled at him. "Now that we're here, why don't we explore this area together?"
Himuro smiled back and nodded. "Sure." he replied before the two began walking through the street. "So what does this place have to offer?"
"This place is called Yanaka Ginza Street." she began. "It's a popular shopping street that has many small shops where locals often come here. I read that this area survived the earthquakes and wars, so this place has quite some history."
"I can see that." said Himuro while looking around him. "It's different from tourist spots, as we get to see people around here doing their normal everyday shopping and errands. This is a great place to explore while avoiding the tourist crowds." He continued walking down the street with Yasu and smelled food. "Shall we get something to eat? I heard this place has a lot of street food."
"Yeah." replied Yasu while sniffing the air. "I'm already tempted by the smell of food."
Himuro chuckled at her before scanning the shops around them to see where they could buy some food, until his gaze landed on a shop that sold fried food. "How about there?" he asked while pointing at the shop.
