笠松 幸男 (Kasamatsu Yukio)
It was a cold Winter afternoon. Kasamatsu was in McDonald's with Kobori and Moriyama having lunch while studying for their university entrance exam. After the Winter Cup, them and the other third-years had to retire early so that they can focus more on their final exams, and Kasamatsu passed the captain title to Hayakawa.
While going through their notes on Chemistry, Kobori and Moriyama noticed that their former captain wasn't paying attention. All he did was stare into space while flicking the mechanical pencil. They exchanged confused looks with each other before Moriyama called his name, which he didn't hear, surprisingly. He called him a few more times while gradually increasing the volume, until he manged to get him to snap out of his thoughts.
"Are you alright?" asked Moriyama concernedly.
Kasamatsu looked around to register what was going on, and shook his head a few times. "It's nothing." he said,
"Are you sure?" asked Kobori. "You haven't touched your book for a while now."
Kasamatsu seemed to realise what he was doing, and to his friends' surprise, his face flushed bright red. "I-It's nothing!" he assured, but they knew it was something just after hearing that tone.
"What were you thinking about, Kasamatsu?" teased Moriyama. "Or rather, who were you thinking about?"
"I-I wasn't thinking about a-anyone!" defended the said boy, which only encouraged his friends even more to find out what was going on in his mind, especially the former.
"But you stammered." noted Kobori.
"Which means you were thinking of someone." added Moriyama with a cheeky grin, as he leaned forward to interrogate the flustered boy. "So who is the lucky lady?"
"I-I told you." argued Kasamatsu. "It's nothing!"
But Moriyama ignored him and continued, "If I'm not mistaken, it's the cute Seirin manager, right?" He needn't have Kasamatsu to say anything, because the latter's red face was more than enough to prove that his guess was right.
"How did you know, Moriyama?" asked Kobori.
"Well, it's very easy because during our last practices, Kise would share with us about her." began the said boy. "Instead of kicking him for slacking off, Kasamatsu actually stopped to listen, and I heard from Kise that he asked him to tell more about her. Also, he hates it whenever I try to talk to her. We don't need to use rocket science to figure out that he likes her."
"Seriously?" responded Kobori with surprise before turning to the flustered boy. "So why don't you ask her out?"
"A-Are you crazy?" he asked. "She'll think I'm some creep because we barely know each other!"
"It's fine!" assured Moriyama. "Every relationship starts from being a stranger."
"Eh?" gasped a familiar cheerful voice, much to the former Kaijo captain's dismay. "Kasamatsu-senpai has a crush?"
"What are you doing here, Kise?" asked Kobori.
"Well, I just happen to drop by to grab a quick bite." replied Kise with a drink in his hand. "After I had finished eating, I saw you guys here, so I wanna join." He occupied the empty seat and placed his cup on the table. "So what did I miss?"
"Kasamatsu likes your former manager." replied Kobori with a chuckle.
"Really?" responded Kise while looking at the said boy with a wide grin. "You got good taste, senpai! Yasucchi is a great person. Have you asked her out yet?"
