Sky POV

"Can you stop that now?" I asked impatiently.

"Can you tell me what's wrong?' Red asked.

"No because nothing is wrong! If anything it's most likely a side effect." He nodded before dropping me. "Ouch." I said bitterly.

"Hey it's what you wanted." He remarked with a smile. I glared at him while standing up.

"Anyway, what do we do about your brother? Do we even know where is he? Seems he just pops up when is convenient for him." I reminded him. "We don't need to worry Ashton and Aerin, they have Alex and James to look after." I say while beginning to pace the small room. Red flares at me as he drops into one of the black chairs scattered around the room seeing as Ashton's castle mainly consists of red, white, and black colored furniture and such. "Why are you glaring?" I asked while turning around to look at him.

"One, because I told you to rest when we got back here and you're already trying to think of a plan. Two, you wouldn't know I was glaring seeing as your back was to me." He reminded me.

"Right well that sucks 'cuz I'm clearly busy fighting out how to cure us and James and it's not hard to miss someone glaring daggers at you." I laughed. He shrugged before continuing to glare slightly.

"Red?" I asked while stopping my pacing to sit on the bed.

"What? and I'm not glaring any more!" He responded letting his head lean against the back of the chair.

"That's not what I was talking about, so don't act like a smartass."

"Alright." He laughed. "What is it then?"

"Do you ever think of the people you've killed? I'm not asking if they haunt you or anything just if you ever remember and such." Red sat up a bit before thinking of his response.

"The first few times I killed when I was younger, it stuck with me for a while. But after I got used to it like now, it doesn't really cross my mind that much. Whenever I kill someone I have no thoughts about who they were or if they had a family, I just see them as something of no importance getting in my way"." He sighed when he was finished.

"Oh." Was all I said.
"Why do you ask?" He questioned while I messed with the strings of my hoodie.

"Don't worry about it." I answered.

"Honestly with everything that's happened I am starting to worry very very slightly."

"Whaat? Red worrying in the least possible way?? Never!" I mocked.

"Quit the sarcasm." He countered which made me laugh.

"I can't. Unlike Ashton or anyone, I don't know demon and i'm not british so I stick to sarcasm as my language." He didn't find it funny.

"No, why do you ask?"

"If you don't stop I'm gonna drag you out to the courtyard and make you do some target practice to cool off."

"Sky, I doubt you could do that." Red put his arms behind head. "I'm too muscular for you to drag." I rolled my eyes.

"More like chubby." I murmured under my breath.

"Sky! I don't need to take that from you." He said stubbornly while standing up. "You're the one who should be running now."

"Uh no. Go away."

"Why? Someone." He fake coughed to point at me. "Is telling lies."

"I'm gonna scream for help against you if you come any closer." I joked and Red laughed.

"Try it I dare you." He taunted me. Suddenly he looked really pale. "Actually I don't feel so well." He added before falling unconscious.

"Red!" I yelled jumping up. No not again, please not again. ¨Ashton!¨ I started screaming repeatedly as I sprinted to go find him.

*****
Alex's POV

I tried to sit but found myself wincing in pain due to my side. Well at least it's bandaged, I noticed.

¨Äwesome a black room. I swear if it's you Destrain.¨ I called out into the darkness.

¨Luckily, it's just you then.¨ A voice called back.

¨I'm not in the mood for games. where am I, where's Alex, and who are you?¨ I answered finding it easier to try standing up instead.

"I already said it. I'm you. Alex is fine...for now at least and this is what the poison created for this scenario to exists." The voice answered, moving in the shadows.

"I don't understand? And you better not touch him.." I started before trailing off to see myself standing before me. "This isn't possible. Who are you?" I demanded.

"I'm you. Well technically your past." The copy waved off.

"Right. I'm gonna pretend that makes sense. What do you want?" I asked slowly.

"What don't you want?" He responded. I shrugged off the statement to get to some more important things.

"What did you mean by Alex isn't hurt yet?" I demanded. He merely shoved his hands in his pockets casually.

"I'm just saying it's a miracle he hasn't been yet."

"That's because I've been there for him." I nearly growled.

"Have you? Or have you nearly been the reason he's died?" He questioned me with a grin.

"I tried to fight that attacker, you would know that if you really were me. I was merely knocked unconscious back then and found him ages later. I'm here now and he won't be nearly hurt again." I argued. The other me looked a bit bored.

"You let him watch his mum die. You're lucky he doesn't remember or blame you. Heck you're making him suffer now. Imagine him seeing his unconscious brother but not before watching him be stabbed and being attacked by a demon hound himself." Suddenly I was disgusted with myself and the stab wound began to be more conscious in my mind. "You're lucky he let Aerin and Ashton put him to sleep and take care of him while your in this state. How disappointed he must be in you." He finished as I shook my head no.

"I'm fine. He's gonna be okay. The others will keep him safe and happy for now. Until I get better that is." That caused him to laugh which sent shivers down my spine.

"You won't get better. Red's currently unconscious and I don't think Sky will carry on looking for Oscar by herself until he's at least stable."

"What happened to him?" I asked confused.

"Oh you didn't know they're poisoned as well? It shouldn't be long till Sky's body stops fighting it off as well. Jayden's done a nice job with this stuff." He praised.

"Leave me alone." I said flatly.

"You're gonna break from it. You know it, everyone does. They can't help you."

"They'll find a way. Until then I'll hold out." I went to sit back down against a wall but stopped. "For Alex at least." I called over my shoulder before being left alone again.
