Surprisingly no one else came to the room that night and I was able to sleep for a few hours despite Reds state. It was heartbreaking to see him like this yet it hurt more to leave him. It was too early for anyone really to be awake. I didn't know if he could even hear me but I still talked to him. Occasionally he'd move even the slightest bit and i'd hope he was coming around but it wasn't so. I held onto his hand and continued talking to him.
"Even if you were to just start giving orders and tell me to stop being so emotional it would be alright. We just need you to defeat this. Even if I already gave her a small taste of revenge I'm not quite done with Jayden. When this is all over you can help me." I laughed at the thought, he wouldn't help but more take over. While I was laughing my voice broke for a moment but that was all that was needed when reality had hit me. I couldn't stop as I felt the tears threaten to fall and slide down my face when they did.
"Please, Red. I want to know you can hear me. Anything, I don't care, I just need to know your okay. That your fighting it. I know how strong you are so I have no doubt that you would surrender to something like this. Noah's coming, he'll figure it all out with me, hopefully he'll have Oscar. I can't stand this. I really can't but I know you'd tell me to stop crying because your fine but I'm worried. I really am. I need you to be alright.." my voice trailed off into silence except the soft sound of my crying. Until I felt the smallest bit of a squeeze from his hand. I smiled before crying a bit more.
"I knew it. I'm so proud of you." I brushed a bit of his hair behind his ear. "I-I love you." I said quietly.
Noah's POV:
It wasn't surprising to see Sky barely asleep but still next to Red. It was more shocking to see the redness of her eyes when she woke up and held a dagger pointed to me when I entered the room.
"Oh, it's you. I'm sorry I need to stop doing that, just instinct y'know?" She said quickly. I nodded as she stood up. "Did you find Oscar?" She asked with a bit of hope in her voice.
"Yeah, he's outside. I didn't know if you would pull that dagger on him as well." I laughed before becoming serious again. "How is he?" She gestured to the various screens with his vital signs.
"Still unconscious for three days in a row. The rest you can see as I pointed to."
"I see. There's been no change at all?" I asked.
"There was, yesterday morning or so he was becoming more stable but then..well yeah. The doctor couldn't see what was wrong to make it like that and he might not be checking in on him when I'm here." She replied with a small laugh.
"Meh, James is need of care too so I'm assuming that's what he'll be up to." She nodded before turning back to Red.
"I was talking to him last night." She paused as if wondering if this needed to be said. "I didn't know if he could actually hear me or anything, but I was holding his hand and I just talked to him. When I was nearly done, he gave the smallest of a squeeze on my hand. I don't know if it makes a difference, it should, but at least it did for me." She finished while turning back to me and smiling.
"That's my boy." I said before Oscar poked his head in the room.
"Oh look at that. He really is sick or something." He mused.
"Noah, does he know what he's supposed to do?" Sky asked while glancing between us. I shook my head.
"I decided you could have that conversation." I told her. Sky stood up and strolled out of the room, grabbing Oscars arm and nearly dragging him with her. I decided to take Sky's seat by Red.
"You're gonna miss Sky talking to Oscar. I'm not sure how well it will play out but I'm sure it won't be too bad." I laughed before hearing Oscar and Sky talking in the hallway.
