Narrator's POV: Welcome back young adventurers to the Dragon Realm, we last left off with Dark Cynder preparing to leave for her mission to eliminate Spyro under Galventer's orders. But the real Cynder that is trapped inside Dark Cynder is trying to break free of her dark imprisonment. And Spyro is still studying the scroll that Dagor gave him to help save Cynder. But there isn't much time left for him to keep practicing the spell to give ones light back after it has been taken away and locked within ones self. Now Spyro must be ready for what happens in this next chapter of his and Cynder's adventure. Now enter the portal once more and return to the Dragon Realm to find out what may happen.
Forest of Dia-Mound near the city limits gates Dark Cynder's POV: It's been almost a week since I left the Shattered Mountains of Arc-kana to eliminate Spyro, one of the newest guardians who have graduated from the dragon guardian academy almost three weeks ago. And I have been studying my target to learn his routine so that I will have an advantage over him when I take his pathetic life. But something deep inside me felt guilty for doing so. "Snap out of it Dark Cynder. You're loyal to your uncle and he will be grateful for me when I eliminate Spyro." I said to myself as I looked through my binoculars again and saw my target and for some reason he looked familiar and I couldn't figure out why.

"Where have I seen him before?" I asked myself, then I took out my phone and saw a message from Neon Oryps appear, "What does he want now?" I said with utter disgust in my voice.

"Why is my heart pounding so fast?" I asked myself but then the shackles of darkness started to glow with a dark light and I felt like my evil self again. "Much better. Now then lets see what Spyro is doing." I said as I looked through the binoculars again and I saw Spyro on his phone and when I zoomed in to see what was on his phones screen I was shocked to find the Skybook chat room open and I saw the names on the screen, Neon Oryps and Scarlet the Dragon. "H-he's Neon Oryps, Spyro is Neon Oryps? Wait Spyro, Oryps, Oryps is Spyro spelled backwards why didn't I figure that out sooner." I said to myself as I slapped my head and then I saw Spyro leave the diner and he headed to the city limit gate where I laid my trap for him. "It's only a matter of time now." I said.
Spyro's POV: After I left the diner to go to the city limits gate I couldn't help but think about Cynder and how long we've been Skybook friends. "Cynder, wherever you are right now, I promise that I'll bring you back to Dia-Mound." I said to myself when someone tapped my shoulder and I jumped in utter surprise, "Sorry Spyro, I didn't mean to scare you." said Light Wave, "Oh, Light Wave, it's just you. Don't do that to a dragon, especially me." I said as I walked to the city limit gate for my guard shift, "So you were talking to yourself back there about someone named Cynder. What was that about?" Light Wave asked me, "It's nothing Light Wave, I'm late for my shift. We'll talk later alright." I said as I raced off towards the city limit gates to relieve the guard for my shift. "Hey Lightning Holt, shift change." I said as I walked over to Lightning Holt, "About time Spyro." he said as he flew back to town to get some rest. Then something struck me on the back of my head and everything went black. When I came too I saw a dark purple dragon staring at me and she was smiling for some reason, "W-who are you?" I asked trying to ignore the pain in my head, "You know exactly who I am Spyro, or should I say Neon Oryps." said the dark purple dragon then with sudden realization I knew who it was, "Cynder, why are you doing this?" I asked her, "I already told you my name's Dark Cynder now guardian." hissed Dark Cynder. 'I hope I practiced that spell enough to save Cynder.' I thought to myself. "Get up guardian, I want the pleasure of killing you to last as long as possible. No sense in fighting an unprepared oppoenent." said Dark Cynder as she walked around me in circles waiting for an opportunity to strike. I got to my feet shackilly at first but then I found my balance and I knew I couldn't hurt Cynder since she wasn't in control of her actions at all so all I can do is defend and stay on the defensive until I could cast the darkness removal spell on her. Then Dark Cynder lunged at me but I quickly dodged her and took a defensive stance to protect myself and not inflict any harm onto Cynder.
Dark Cynder's POV: "I thought all guardians were 'all mighty protectors' you're not even focused on the fight." I said as I attaked Spyro again and this time I managed to draw blood from his front right leg but only a small amount of it. "GAH!" Spyro screamed in pain as he held his front right leg with his other front paw. "Did that hurt cry baby? Good, cause there's more where that came from asshole." I said and I attacked him again and again sometimes I would land a blow other times he would dodge me and keep his guard up. 'Impressive, no one at the castle would have lasted this long while fighting me. But this guy, his scales are strong and it takes a lot of my strength to even break through his scales.' I thought to myself as I spun around and shot a blast of dark lightning at Spyro and it hit him right in his chest but to my surprise he was fine. "How are you not charred dragon meat?" I asked with surprise in my voice, "Your guess is as good as mine Cynder." said Spyro as he seemed to be healing somehow from all of the cuts I managed to inflict on him. "And it looks like I can rapidly heal as well. Sweet!" shouted Spyro as I growled and lunged at him again and dug my claws deep inside his scales and the grass was covered with his blood and Spyro was fighting back a scream of pain trying to stay focused. "I'm impressed, not many can last this long against me and live." I said as I pinned Spyro to the ground and he was trying to get out of my grip.
Narrator's POV: Well that is most unexpected, what will happen to Spyro? Will he be able to save Cynder from the darkness? Or will Dark Cynder finish the mission and kill Spyro right then and there? Only the future chapters hold the answers. Return to your own realm now young adventurers and when you are ready return through the portal to find out what happens next. May the divine dragon Shirama guide and protect you young adventurers. And good luck.
