Why so Shy? (Leo x Shy! Reader)

You were walking to the lair from school to see what Leo was doing. Leo was the only person (or turtle) you ever talked to. You were shy around other people and couldn't really open up around school. But you could open up around him. You 2 had much in common: space hero fans, hard-working, follow rules, etc.

You finally arrive at the lair and walk in. Raph and Mikey were playing video games until they saw you. You felt heat on you cheeks as you became nervous  from them noticing you.

"Hey (y/n)! What's up?" Mikey asked.

"I-I came here to see L-Leo." You said softly.

"He's in the dojo meditating like always. Why?" Raph replied.

"Just wondering." You replied back, trying to be more clear but your shyness got in the way.

You walked in the dojo after you said that because you felt embarrassed for talking so quietly. You mentally face palmed yourself because no matter how hard you tried, you couldn't even open up around his brothers. You saw Leo mediating so quietly and without hesitation you walked to him.

"Hey Leo." You said.

He opened his right eye and looked at you, "Oh! Hey (y/n). What brings you here?"

You twiddled your fingers, "Just came to see what you were up to."

He stood up, "Nothing really. How was your day?"

"Good." You replied, "How was yours?"

"Fine. Training and getting my brothers in order is an everyday thing. Hey! Space Heroes is coming on in 5 minutes. What do you say for a little Space Hero marathon?" He asked.

"Let's do it! Go get some snacks and I'll turn it on." You said.

"Be right back." He smiled and walked to the kitchen.

You walked to the living room to see that Raph and Mikey were gone which was good. So you grabbed the remote and turned on Space Heroes. Leo jumped from behind the couch and sat down with popcorn and 2 sodas. You 2 started eating popcorn and watching Space Heroes and having fun. What you didn't know, was that Mikey, Raph, and Donnie, were watching you and Leo laughing and having fun.

This left them in shock. You barely spoke a few words with little volume to them and there you were being loud and talking and having fun. They just couldn't figure out why Leo was the only one that you talked to when you were here. Did they make you feel awkward? Did you have something against them?

Or did you just not like them? They didn't know. Then they saw that April walked in. April saw you and her jaw dropped. She stood there for about a minute before you and Leo looked at her.

"Oh hey April." Leo said.

"Uh I should be getting home. It's late." You said.

"It's only 10pm. And it's the weekend." Leo replied.

"Yeah but my mom is probably wondering where I am. I'll see you later." You said and dashed out of the lair.

Once you were by a manhole cover you sighed and face palmed yourself for leaving unexpectedly. You climbed out of the sewers and went home.

Leo's brothers came out and April could talk now.

"That was unexpected." She said.

"What was unexpected?" Asked Leo.

"You do realize that (y/n) doesn't hardly speak at school or around me but she's really open when she's around you." She answered.

"That is true." Donnie said, "She doesn't even talk to us."

"Well she does but she's quiet and not very clear. But with you it's a whole different story." Raph added.

"That can't be true. She seems so outgoing." Leo said.

"Well she just might be outgoing for you because you are the only one she talks to." Mikey said.

"When people try to talk to her, she's very quiet and shy. It's the same when teachers call on her. You made her open up somehow." April said.

"(Y/n) being shy and quiet doesn't sound like her. How could that be?" Leo asked.

"We don't know. But you make her sprout out of her seed." April answered.

"I'll ask her about it when she comes back." Leo said.

"Hmph if she even does come back." Raph huffed.

Donnie hit his head.

"Ouch! I'm just saying she seemed pretty nervous." Raph added.

"I'll figure this out soon. Now let's get some sleep." Leo said.

~ The Next Day ~

You were walking to the lair once again to hang with Leo for leaving in a flash from last night. It's because April was in some of your classes and she's never seen the opened side of you. You walked in the lair and saw Leo watching TV.

"Hey Leo." You said.

"Hey (y/n). Come in my room. I wanna show you something." He said.

"Ooooooookkaaaaaaaay." You said not really sure what he wanted to show you.

You followed him in his room and he shut the door.

"What is it you wanna show me?" You asked.

"Nothing. I wanna ask some questions." He answered.

You felt nervous and felt heat rise in your cheeks.

"A-About what?" You asked.

"Why are you so shy around other people but so opened up to me?" He asked.

You bit your lip. April must've told them what side of you she usually saw. You stayed quiet because you didn't know how to answer.

"It's okay. You can tell me. I just wanna know why." He said, trying to get her to open up again.

". . .I don't know. I've always been a shy person."

"But never around me." He added.

"I guess it's because me and you have so much in common. And something in you made me just want to open up more to you." You said feeling blush appearing on your cheeks. 

"Do you like me? Is that why?" He asked.

You hid your face in your knees to hide your red blushed face, "M-Maybe."

Leo lifted your head up by his finger on your chin. He looked into your sparkly (e/c) eyes.

"I like you too. Can you promise me one thing?"

"Yeah." You replied.

"Will you open up to the world and show them how amazing and beautiful you and your personality is? Because you've already shown me. I want you to spread it around." He asked.

"Y-Yeah. I will." You answered.

He kissed your cheek, "Good. Now, who's up for some training?"

You raised your arm in the air like a child, "ME!"

(A/N): Heeeeeeyyyyy I'm not dead I've just been busy. So lemme tell you: Computer decided to act up and step mom had magic touch to make it come back to life. Got a bf and celebrated 1 month on St Patrick's Day. Got asked to prom by him. and yeah. And I'm going to NY tomorrow w/ chorus. So for my followers who live in NY try to find me lol.
