Shortie (Raph x Child! Reader)

Raph was out with his brothers on patrol. They hadn't seen anything mysterious happen for 2 hours. Leo stood up.

"Alright let's go back." He ordered.

Donnie and Mikey stood up and started to follow him. Raph stayed put because he had a weird feeling in his gut. A feeling as if something was going to happen.

"You coming Raph?" Mikey asked.

"I'll catch up in a few." Raph answered.

"Is something wrong?" Leo asked.

"Just need to clear my head that's all." Raph answered.

His brothers vanished into the shadows to head back to the lair. That feeling was still haunting Raph. He felt as if something bad was going to happen....tonight. He decided to start walking around. It was a very quiet night as he walked the streets.

He then heard childish giggles coming from the park. He hid in a bush and peeked out of an empty spot of the bush. There was a girl probably the age of 9 swinging on the swing set. The mother was talking on the phone while sitting on the bench.

"Why is she out so late?" Raph whispered to himself, "it's dangerous out here."

From behind the swing set, Raph then saw 2 things he really never wished to see. Dog Pound and FishFace. He saw that FishFace was holding some sort of remote. Raph looked around to see what the remote could be set up to. He then noticed a device on the swing that the girl was on.

FishFace pressed the button and the girl immediately was swung towards them.

"Ow! What's the big idea?" She questioned.

She looked up and gulped loudly at the 2 giants staring down at her.

"She will be perfect for Stockman's experiment." FishFace smirked.

"She'll be a perfect test monkey." Dog Pound laughed as he picked her up.

Raph growled under his breath and immediately took action.

"Let her go!" He told them.

They stared at the red clad turtle, "Raphael."

Dog Pound dropped the girl. Her head hit the ground.

"Ouch." She spoke rubbing her head.

Raph took out his sais, "leave and you won't get hurt."

"But she's such a treasure." Dog Pound smirked.

The girl crab crawled in a bush to hide from them.

"Lemme say that again. Leave and you won't get hurt." Raph smirked back.

Dog Pound balled up his fists but FishFace placed his fin on his shoulder.

"Not tonight. We will have another day." He told him.

"But Shredder wanted a child by tonight." Dog Pound growled.

"You're talking about fighting the toughest turtle on the team. Let's go." He replied.

They then walked away. Raph put away his sais and sat in front of the bush that the girl was hiding in.

"Hey come out it's okay. Their gone." He said to her.

"Are you sure?" She whispered.

Raph looked around to double check for her, "I don't see them. You can come out now."

The girl crawled out on her grands and knees. She stood up and immediately hugged Raph. Raph flinched but hugged her back.

"Thank you, Raphael." She whispered.

He pulled away from the hug, "you can call me Raph. What's your name?"

"(Y/n). I'll be 9 tomorrow!" She smiled.

"That's exciting!" He smiled at her.

"(Y/n)????" Questioned her mother, "oh my god! (Y/n) where are you?!?"

Raph chuckled, "your mom is freaking out. You better go."

"Will I ever see you again, Raph?" She asked.

Raph had a sad look for a split second. She wanted to see him again? She wasn't afraid. He then smiled and ruffled her hair.

"You betcha, shortie." He answered.

(Y/n) hugged Raph again and went to her mother. Raph softly smiled as he stood up. The weird feeling in his gut was gone. And he had a little friend as a bonus.
