I sat on a bed as two Med-jacks I guess that's what they are called. Alby called them that. They checked over me, to make sure everything was ok. They than talked with each other and looked back at me.

“Do you need anything?” One asked.

“Water please.” I said and my voice cracked.

My head hurt, actually my whole body hurt. My head was pounding. My tongue and throat were dry. My lips we chapped and all cracked. My stomach hurt the worst. It was sore and felt like it shrunk.

“Here have an apple. You're probably hurgany.” The Med-jack who didn’t leave said handing me an apple.

The door to the room was flung open and Newt and Alby stepped in. I took a bite of the apple. The taste was so good, but because of my throat being dry it hurt to swallow. I finished the apple but was still hurgany. Least my stomach felt ok.

“How you feelin’?” Newt asked.

“Better than before. How long have I been out?”

“Two days.” Alby said.

The Med-jack that left came back. He handed me a large glass of water. I had to stop myself from drinking it all really fast. I don’t want to make myself throw up. It would make my stomach hurt more.

As I sipped my water the Med-jacks talked to Alby and Newt. Alby keeps glancing at me. But when I looked back at him he would turn his head and smile slightly. I sat the empty glass down and stood up. I grabbed the chair in front of me to stop myself from fall. Newt and Alby left and the Med-jacks stood up.

“My names Clint. I’m Keeper of the Med-jacks. This is Jeff.” He said and they both held their hands out.

“Ashton. But I bet you already knew that.” I said shaking their hands.

They laughed and before they could replay Alby came back and the two boys left. Alby watched them leave. He was holding something white in his hands. I looked like a piece of clothing.

“Here’s a shirt. It’s a boys. We don’t have any girl clothing her. Sorry.” He said handing me the shirt.

He then left the room. I slipped the shirt on over my tank. The shirt was quite long and ran past my knees. It tucked into my pants and left the room to find Alby. I walked down the stairs and saw some boys sitting around talking. They stopped when they saw me.

I walked outside and looked around. Boys were walking around carrying wood and other things. I found Alby talking to a group of boys. I walked over to him and stood behind him till he was finished talking.

As he talked I looked around. The sun was out and the sky was clear. Exactly like my first day here. This place seemed so familiar. Everything was so familiar. I think I’ve been here before. But I don’t remember ever being here.

“What Ashton.” Alby said turning to me.

“Newt said two days ago that you were going to give me a tour. Since I’m up and if you're not busy. Can I have the tour now?” I asked staring at him.

“Sure lets go.”

He show what all the buildings were. The Homestead is the biggest building and also the one I have been sleeping in for two days. He showed me the washroom was. This building had toilets and showers. I had to be careful in here so no boys get to have a nice show. If you know what I mean. Next was the barn in the middle of the Glade. This is the map room and only runners are allowed to use it. There was also another barn that was to the South by the creepy forest. That hand animals and was a storage for tools and wood. The last building was the kitchens were we eat. Then we walked over to one of the openings and the maze. Alby told me all the rules and other stuff I need to know.

“This is the maze were the runner spend the whole day in. Try to find a way out and as you can see they have not found one. The runners will be back soon and the doors will close. Look here comes some now.”

He pointed into the maze and in the dying light I could see figures running towards us. I looked away from the runners and looked at the walls. This maze seemed so familiar. But something was missing from the walls. Yes there is ivy covering the walls. But something is missing and I can’t seem to remember what it is.

The runners ran past us and want to the barn. I looked back at the maze and saw red lights moving across the floor and up the wall. The light moved closer and I heard a metallic clanking sound. The sound grew louder and the lights mover closer.

In the dying light of the sun I saw a ball of black metal with spikes protruding from it’s body rolling towards us. It stopped and uncurled itself. Metal arms and spike moved around it’s body. The arms clenched and unclenched as it stood and stared at us.

“Alby. What’s that?” I said grabbing his arm and pointed at the thing in front of us.

“What the hell.” He said pulling me away from the opening.

There was a loud groan and the left side of the opening moved to reach the right side. The metal creature just stood and stared at us. The door stopped move and came to a stop with a loud clank and prevented the creature from staring at us.

“What was that?” I asked turning to Alby who still was holding my arm.

“That is a Grievers. They live in the maze. None of them have ever set foot in the Glade. They mostly only come out at night. But some are out during the day. Now lets go it’s time for dinner.”

I sat at the same table as two days ago with the same people. Thomas, Chunk, Newt, and Alby joined us. Those grievers looked very familiar. But does everything else in this damn place. If only I could remember where I’ve seen this place before. I wouldn’t give myself a headache and snap on Chuck like I did earlier. The poor kid was just asking a question. I apologized and he said it was fine.

Thomas looks familiar to. But I can’t remember him either. But for some reason I feel like he is important to me. I don’t know why or how he just feels important.

After dinner I wanted to be by myself. So I slipped away and walked over to the forest. Alby said it was called the deadheads. Well whatever this tree trunk is very comfortable so I’ll sleep here tonight.

As I fell asleep I heard a clicking noise and some voices. But I couldn’t open my eyes. The voices grew closer and I felt a hand on my shoulder and something soft brushed against my neck. I tried to move but I was too far gone.
