Chapter 6. We Are No Longer Friends

Melissa's point of view

Jenni, Tera, Clarissa, and Anna were staring at me when I said Tawni was no longer in the group after telling Eris about me having sex with Harry. Anna gave me a tissue to wiped my tears and blow my nose.

Jenni gasped, “I thought she was trustworthy, Melissa. I’m sorry.”

I looked at her while I was saying, “You have nothing to apologize for. It wasn’t your fault that Tawni was a little lying bitch.”

Anna looked at me and said, “Melissa, don’t say that! You have to be nice to her as well as everyone around you!”

 I slammed my hands on the table as I said, “If she is going to tell everyone my secret, then I am going to tell everyone her embarrassing and dark secrets!”

A lot of people turned around and looked at me. I forgot that there were people around.

Harry's point of view

I went to my bed and stare at the ceiling, and fell fast asleep from thinking about Melissa and her beautiful features.

I woke up to the sound of laughter, and I didn't know what was going on until Liam and Niall placed a fake spider on my bed. I did scream a little and fell out of my bed.

Liam helped me up as he was asking, "So, are you okay, Harry?"

I shrugged in response, and I walked into the kitchen and got a glass of water. I went to the booth and sat there. I was staring at my phone and wondering if I should call Melissa and ask her what is going on. I picked up the phone and dial Melissa's phone number, and it straight to voicemail.

The voicemail said, "What's up! It is Melissa Darden! I'm super sorry that I can't answer you right now, but I'm super busy with homework, cheerleading, choir, and other things that I can't think off the top of my head. I will answer your call as soon as I can. Bye with Love from me, Melissa. See ya later!"

I got out of the booth and started pacing the floor, and I was trying to figure out why Melissa didn't answer my call like she usually did.

Louis stopped me in my track as he said, "You need to calm down, Harry. Melissa will call you back."

This one thought keeps running through my mind as I said, "What if this is her way of telling me that the relationship is over?"

Louis looked at me as he was saying, "She is in love with you!"

“Really, Louis?” I said as I looked out of the window.

The other guys came in the room and hugged me.

Melissa's point of view

Jenni agreed, "Melissa is right! If we don't want our secrets out in the open, then we have to have Tawni out of the group."

Tera and Clarissa also agreed as they were saying, "We don't need people to know about our secrets."

I went through my purse and grabbed my phone. I saw that I have a missed call, and it was from Harry. I dialed his number and waited for him to answer.

He answer on the second ring, "Oh my god, Melissa! I thought you were breaking up with me!"

I laughed, "I would never break with you, Harry."

He asked, "Then, why didn't you answer my call?"

I responded, "I had my phone on vibration. I'm sorry that I didn't answer sooner, Harry."

He laughed as he said, "I'm sorry, Melissa. I was just freaking out because I'm in love with you, Melissa."

My eyes widen with surprise as I said, "You what!?!"

He whispered, "I'm in love with you, Melissa ever since I saw you that Friday night."

I smiled as I answered, "Well, I'm in love with you as well, Harry."

He laughed, "How long, Melissa?"

"Well... since the What Makes You Beautiful video."

"Oh, Melissa. May I ask you something?"

"Spit it out, baby." I smiled as I said.

He asked, "Is it okay if I flew to Minnesota for two weeks?"

I smiled as I answered, "Yes, it would be more than okay! It would be great!"

He laughed, "Well, I guess I'll see you in a week, Melissa. Bye."

I said, "I'll see you later, Harry. Bye."

The call ended, and I put my phone back in my purse. I remember the reason why my true friends and me were at McDonald's, and my smile disappeared from my face.

"She won't be coming with us for spring break this year!" I said in a serious tone.

Everybody except Anna nodded in agreement. I got out of my seat, and I was about to walk out of McDonald's until I turned around and looked at my true friends.

I said in a firm voice, "I hope you will learn from this incident."

I walked out of McDonald's and got in my car. I drove back to my house and went up to my bedroom. I sat on my bed and thought everything through because I wanted to figure out everything.

I couldn't help to be angry at Tawni, but then happy about Harry coming to Minnesota.
