I get up the next morning and start on my normal routine. Maybe I can find some food today. I just have to be careful not to run into the boy who keeps showing up everywhere. The boy who is in a higher group than me, yet seems to do everything he can to see me. I decide that I will go look in the alley.

I quickly run over to where the alley is. I look down it to see if anyone is there. As far as I can see nobody is there, though. So, I go into the alleyway to search for food. All of a sudden someone comes up behind me and wraps their arms around me. I flinch and struggle against their arms to run away to my colony. It is of no use. Whoever has come up behind me just holds me tighter. This person is too strong for me. I am not going to get away, but I need to know who holds me in case something bad happens. I slowly turn my head around. I see him. The same guy I had run into several times this week. I do not know him, but at the moment he is holding me captive. No one is around me to come to my rescue. How had I gotten into this position? I close my eyes and think back to earlier this week. I think about the first time we ran into each other in this alley. He was with the prince that day. Then I think about yesterday when for whatever reason I found him shirtless by the lake.

Suddenly he speaks, "Why do you run from me?"

"Let me go!" I demand.

"I'll let go if you promise not to run." He replies.

I do not respond. I do not want to stay and chat with him. I do not even know who he is. However, he has figured out who I am. This boy either decides to take my silence as a yes or just decides to be nice, because he lets go of me. Well, he still holds my arm in his grip.

"Let me go," I demand again.

"Not until you tell me who you are," he demands back.

"I will tell you who I am, if you tell me who you are."

"Fine," he says with an angry tone.

"You start." I tell him.

"I am Cole Ayers. I am a Magestee."

"I already figured that out for myself. I am Kierra Marine. I am a Nobudee though I think you know that."

For a second we are silent. Like it is suddenly dangerous for us to know each other. Maybe it is.

"So Cole, can you let me go now?" He still holds me for a second.

"Only if you promise not to run away."

"Fine. Promise," I reply with a sigh. There seems to be no way out of this situation.

He lets me go. Finally, I can move again on my own. I fix my shirt that is still too small for me. I am deciding if I should run or not. I decide not to run. I do not want to break a promise. I turn around to face him. At least I didn't have to call him "that boy" anymore. I can just call him Cole. What a nice name for such a cute guy. Wait, what are you thinking Kierra? He basically just kidnapped you and on top of that, Cole is a Magestee. I need to stop thinking these things. Cole and I will never have a chance. Then I realize I am staring at his hazel green eyes.

"Why are you looking at me like that," he questions me with confusion.

I snap out of my thoughts and answer, "No reason. Just thinking why I'm trusting you and not running."

"There is no need to run from me. I don't want to hurt you. I just want to get to know you."

Mission failed on not hurting me, I think to myself. Why would Cole want to know me? I am just some girl he randomly met. It is not like I am some prestigious person who everyone wants to befriend. I think Cole read my thoughts. He looks down into my eyes.
