James dropped me off at home and I quickly made it to my room. He didn't want to spoil the surprise by telling me where we are going but he did tell me to dress semi formally or semi casually seeing as they're the same. I rummaged through my closet until most of its contents were strewn across my bed or on the floor. After a little more rummaging I found the perfect black snake skin skater skirt to pair with my black long sleeved button down shirt that has the rhinestones on the buttons. I picked out a pair of black suede flats and a circular messenger clutch with the same suede material in the inner circle of the bag. I quickly tossed everything else back into my closet and dresser.
I took a quick shower and wrapped myself in a fluffy robe. I wrapped my hair in a head towel. I sat at the foot of my bed where I could apply lotion onto my drying skin. Can't look ashy for a date, ladies take notes.
I then went to go apply my makeup. I applied light make up everywhere but my eyes, where I applied thick black eyeliner. I let my hair down out of the towel and blow dried it. I used a curling wand I got for Christmas to mold my hair into soft ringlets. When I finished, I put on the outfit I chose and modeled it around my room.
After walking down the 'catwalk' about seventeen times, I walked downstairs to wait for James in the foyer. Doing so was a bad choice, because there was Chelsea on top of Colby in a heated make out session. Oh, my virgin eyes.
"Don't mind me" I took a seat on the other couch, the one facing the door. "Honestly, I'm not even here"
"Oh hey Janine" Chelsea released Colby out her death grip and turned to acknowledge me "Where are you off to?"
"I have a date with James" I twiddled with my fingers "Why?"
"Oh it's nothing.." She trailed off then looked at me with concern "What drugs are you on?"
"I'm not on drugs, what the hell Chelsea" I looked dumbfounded.
"Oh you look like you're having withdrawal symptoms, you're all jittery" Colby snickered from under Chelsea.
"If anyone is a crackhead in the house it's you" I deadpanned "you mask your insecurities with delusions that only the mind of a crack head can conjure up"
She opened her mouth thrice but no words came out, instead she jumped off of Colby and lunged at me. Does she really think she can rearrange my face.
In blinded fury she jumped at me, I took a step to my right and she went crashing down to the ground with a bone crunching thud. I looked at her nonchalantly and kneeled by her side. I turned her over in my arms and motioned for Colby to aid her. She is not my problem. Right on cue, the doorbell rang and I rushed to answer it. The sight that greeted me was absolutely adorable, outside stood James with a dozen light pink roses. I engulfed him in a hug, taking in his masculine scent and savoring his warmth.
"What?" Colby looked at us "Are you not going to help me with her"
I parted with James' warm arms and looked at a rather limp Chelsea. I guess this is the part where I save her life and after she wakes up from a coma we become best friends and plan each others weddings. Too bad theres a fat chance of that happening.
"She's fine" I rolled my eyes "She is just unconscious, I'm sure you can handle it"
I slammed the door and laced my fingers with James'. Everything about him felt so right. He cracked a few jokes and opened the passengers side for me.
